Top 5 Tuesday – Books I Want To Re-Read

Hello everyone! I’ve decided to participate in Top 5 Tuesday today because the prompt is a topic I’ve been thinking about a lot anyway. So, it seemed like the perfect time to give this meme a shot. Today’s prompt is the top 5 books I want to re-read. Check out my list below! Top 5 Tuesday was created by Shanah @ Bionic Book Worm, and is now being hosted here Meeghan Reads!

The Merchant of Death by D. J. MacHale – I loved this series when I was a teenager, and I have wanted to re-read it again for a long time. Maybe one day I’ll actually take the time to do it. This was one of my first fantasy series, and it occupies a very special place in my heart.

The Dark is Rising by Susan Cooper – This is another one where I really want to re-read the entire series. It is also a favorite from my childhood. I remember being drawn to the ghoulish figure on the front in my school’s library, and I was quickly sucked into the story with its take on the Arthurian legend.

Star Wars: Bloodline by Claudia Gray – I remember loving this book when I read it. It had a lot of politics and was an interesting portrayal of Leia. However, I don’t remember the plot at all. So, I think it is time for a re-read.

Wizard’s First Rule by Terry Goodkind – I’ve been reading this series for what seems like forever. Several of the more recently released books are still on my TBR. But it has been so long since I read the first book, I’ve honestly forgotten a lot about how it all started. So, one day, I’d definitely like to re-read this one.

Foundation by Isaac Asimov – This book, along with this author’s robot series, is what peaked my interest in science fiction. The ability to predict the future using science and seeing the remnants of a galactic empire after it disintegrates really hooked me on this one. I’d love to re-visit Asimov’s interesting world.

There you have it! My top 5 books I’d love to re-read. Do we have any in common? What would you love to re-read?

  1. I read the first Foundation book, loved it but didn’t continue for some reason… So I’d reread that one and hopefully finish the series.

    • Awesome! It is a great book and a good series. I finished the original foundation trilogy, but I never read any of the ones he published after that. It has always been my plan to re-read them and finish the rest. Hopefully it will happen one day…
