Weekly Wrap-Up

This week has been pretty awful. I’ve found myself in somewhat of a reading slump despite enjoying what I’m reading. I’ve just been feeling down and having difficulty concentrating, which got worse after my latest CT scan. The results indicated some possibly not so good news, but I won’t know more until I see the doctor again next Thursday. So, now I get to be an anxious mess until I am able to (hopefully) get some answers. I’m mostly just trying to stay occupied with reading, watching TV, cleaning, and writing to keep my mind off the possibilities. There were some bright spots in the week, as well. I participated in a blog tour for The Other Side of the Whale Road, which has been fun. My new bed is arriving today, and I’m excited to try it out. I’ve also enjoyed spending some time binging TV shows and picking up a few books on sale I’ve wanted to add to my shelves for a while.

I visited B&N for the first time in several weeks this past week. I couldn’t miss out on the Book Haul sale even with COVID-19 raging. So, I did the safer thing and ordered the books online for pick up. I’ve had my eye on these for a while now, and I was excited to see them on sale for 50% off.

I decided to use my Amazon credit to buy a book I’ve seen all over Twitter recently, The Jasmine Throne. I’m looking forward to reading it!

This was a rather busy comics week. There were quite a few new Star Wars titles and some other new titles I’m interested in starting soon. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the time to read many comics recently because I’ve been super focused on my Trope-ical Readathon TBR, but I think that I’m going to try to get caught up on Star Wars, at least, in the coming week.

Final Thoughts

Overall, it hasn’t been the best week, but I have been able to pick up quite a few things I’m excited to read.
