First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?

The synopsis and first lines don’t really give anything away about what this book is about. I’m looking forward to it, though, because it has some of my favorite characters from the High Republic era.
