Stacking the Shelves (22) – September 11, 2021

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! The meme is hosted by Reading Reality.

Weekly Wrap-Up

Hello, everyone! Another week has gone by already. It has been a busy week for me with a couple doctor’s visits and lab work. My kidney function levels have been a bit off for a while, and I ended up needing to see a specialist. He was optimistic and seems to think there’s no damage despite the weird lab results I’ve had recently. So, he sent me for more labs and ordered more tests for next week to make sure nothing is wrong. It has also been a busy reading week, and I’ve had the opportunity to read several great books. This week was also the six month anniversary of my blog, which has come up so fast I almost didn’t even notice. I published three reviews this week, The All-Consuming World, In Deeper Waters, and Blood Animus.

Barnes & Noble

I went to B&N with the intention to just relax, browse, and buy nothing. I should know better by now how unlikely it is that I am going to walk out with nothing. I stumbled upon both of these books that I had gone looking for the week before but didn’t find. So, naturally I picked them up…along with some LEGO advent calendars I wasn’t expecting to find yet.

NetGalley eARC

I was so excited when I got the email approving me for this eARC! I just bought the first two books for my Kindle earlier in the week, which you’ll see below, and planned to read them before this book came out in a couple months. Now I can read them all together!

Kindle eBooks

Amazon once again had a deal where they were giving away extra points for spending $25 or more on ebooks. So, naturally I couldn’t pass up the offer. I’ve had my eye on these books for a while and decided to go ahead and pick them up. It also means I now have a $12 credit to spend. Does anyone have any recommendations for how I should spend it?

Comic Books

This was another pretty typical comics week for me. I really need to work on getting caught up with Star Wars and Spider-Man.

Final Thoughts

Overall, it’s been a pretty busy, but pretty good, week, and I picked up a lot of books I am excited to read. I hope you all had a great week too!

Have you read any of the books I picked up? If so, what did you think? Are any of these on your TBR? Let me know in the comments below!
