TBR: October 2021 Reading List

Hello, everyone! It is the start of another month, which means it is time again to plan out what I want to read. I’m not participating in a readathon this month. After the last couple months, I’ve decided to take a break this month to keep things more flexible. So, I’ll be reverting back to my old format for my TBR where I pick a set number of books I want to read with approximately half of the titles pre-planned. The other half will be based on my mood as the month progresses.

In total, I want to read at least 10 books in October 2021. I may end up reading more than this, but 10 is a comfortable number for me that I think is achievable.

My pre-planned list for this month includes the following books:

  • Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao (Hardback)
  • Before We Disappear by Shaun David Hutchinson (Hardback)
  • Child of Light by Terry Brooks (eARC)
  • The Magi Menagerie by Kale Lawrence (eARC)
  • Jade City by Fonda Lee (Kindle ebook)
  • The Bone Shard Emperor by Andrea Stewart (eARC)

It has also been quite some time since I made any plans for my comic book reading. The comics always seem to get shoved off to the side for other things, but I’m going to try to change that for the next few months, at least. Now that I have met my reading goal for the year, I want to try to make up some ground on my backlog. Therefore, I plan to read the following comics this month, as well:

  • All of the current Star Wars titles
  • Amazing Spider-Man (2018-)
  • Sinister War (2021)
  • Shang-Chi (2020-2021)

Overall, it is a pretty ambitious plan for the month when considering both books and comics, especially since I plan to focus on writing a bit too, but I think it is doable.

What do you plan to read this month? Do we have any books in common?
