Happy Saturday, everyone! We’ve reached the end of another week. I hope it has gone well for you all. Today I’ll once again be wrapping up my my reading progress, comic book reading, and my blog posts from the past week.

Reading Progress

This week has been kind of slow on the reading front. I just haven’t really been in the mood to read that much. I finished The Fifth Season last Saturday like I planned. Then I moved on to two books that I received as a participant in their blog tours. Enemy was relatively short, and I finished it in a couple of days. It was an interesting dystopian read that acted as a great warning for what society could become. Then I started The Thirteenth Hour by Trudie Skies. I just finished it at 2 AM this morning, and it was so good. I’m really looking forward to putting my post together for the tour because I just want to gush about all the things!

Comic Book Reading

I didn’t read as many comics this week, but I did manage to finish off my entire TBR of physical issues. I didn’t read any of my digital issues, but it is okay because I didn’t have any new digital issues to buy this week. For the first time in forever, everything I bought was a physical book. So, it gives me another week to get caught up on last week’s digital purchases. In total, I read 11 comic issues this week. I really enjoyed them all, and it is impossible to pick a favorite. However, the cliffhanger ending of The High Republic has probably stuck in my mind the most.

• Mini Review – The Fifth Season – This mini review highlights my thoughts about The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin. I enjoyed this re-read so much that I bumped the book up to 5 stars.
• Mini Review – The Fire of the Fallen – This mini review shows my thoughts about The Fire of the Fallen by J.C. Duncan. I finally read this fantastic sequel and can’t recommend it enough to fans of the Vikings and/or alternate histories.
• First Lines Fridays #39 – This post gives the first lines of a book and asks you to guess and judge the book by how it begins. Check it out to see if you can guess the book, which I’ll be starting soon.
