WWW Wednesday (1) – May 11, 2022

Hello, everyone! I’m excited to be trying something new today that will hopefully become a weekly occurrence here on the blog: participation in WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words. I’ve really enjoyed reading other bloggers posts each week for this meme. So, I decided to give it a shot myself! I’ll be answering the following questions:

  1. What did you read last?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What will you read next?

What did you read last?

This week has been pretty slow. I finished Victory’s Price fairly quickly, but then I got bogged down by Kagen the Damned, which barely squeaked out three mediocre stars. So, my favorite for this week was definitely Victory’s Price, which is ironic because of how daunting I found it after not liking some of the previous books in this trilogy.

What are you currently reading?

Anyone who has followed me for a while will know that I’m largely a book monogamist. Every now and then I’ll have both a physical book and audiobook going simultaneously, but I’m most often only reading one book at a time. Right now that book is Mercury Rising by R.W.W. Greene. I am loving this book much more than I expected so far. The historical perspective mixed with future tech and the fight with aliens is just such an odd combination, and the main character, Brooklyn, feels real and has shown a lot of growth so far.

What will you read next?

I’m hoping to finish Mercury Rising today and start the new Star Wars book Brotherhood by Mike Chen. After Brotherhood, I plan to read The Stardust Thief by Chelsea Abdullah.

What have you been reading? Have you read any of these books? If so, what did you think? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I’m so excited to read The Stardust Thief. I literally haven’t seen a single bad review for it and it sounds like such a great read. I hope you enjoy it 😃

    • I’m super excited about it too! I haven’t seen anything bad about it either. So, I can’t wait. I’m hoping to start it tomorrow because I’m definitely going to be flying through this Star Wars book today. lol.
