Hello, everyone! It’s Wednesday! That means it is time for another WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words. I’ll be answering the following questions:

What did you read last?
This has been a slower week. I completed several projects around the house, which cut into my reading time quite a bit. I did get through everything I said I would read in last week’s post, though. So…yay! I spent most of the week reading Eyes of the Void (see my review!). It was such a great sequel, and Tchaikovsky has definitely become one of my favorite space opera authors. I also finished The Alchemyst and If You Change Your Mind. I think the teenage me of two decades ago (Yikes!) would have loved The Alchemyst with all of its blended mythology, interesting aura magic, and great action scenes. However, present me didn’t really love it because of the repetitive plot, stilted dialogue filled with info dumps, and cliched, flat characters. You can check back on the blog tomorrow for all of my thoughts about If You Change Your Mind, but spoiler alert… It was the perfect summer romcom and would make an excellent beach read.
What was my favorite of the week? Probably Eyes of the Void because of its sheer epic awesomeness. Although, If You Change Your Mind was an excellent palette cleanser after such a dense sci fi read. So, maybe it’s a tie?
What are you currently reading?
I just started Book Lovers and A Magic Steeped In Poison this morning. I’ve listened to the first couple chapters of Book Lovers already, and I can tell that I’m going to love this book. Just in the little bit I’ve listened to so far, I found myself laughing a lot, and I think the characters have great chemistry. I’ve barely started A Magic Steeped in Poison. So, I don’t really have an opinion on it yet but am looking forward to diving deeper into it over the coming days. 🙂
What will you read next?
I plan to finish my May the Force Read With You Readathon TBR by finally reading Little Thieves. I think I’ve had it on two previous monthly TBRs. So, I’m happy to finally be getting to it. Then I’m going to finished off the month with a romance novel that comes out on Tuesday, My Mechanical Romance.

I have read The Alchemyst! I enjoyed the series. And Little Thieves is on my (so big I’ll never catch up) list.
I’m excited to finally get to Little Thieves. I’ve been wanting to read it for a while and have seen such great things about it. There was a lot I liked about The Alchemyst even though I didn’t love it as much as I wanted to. I plan to continue the series because I’m definitely curious to see where it goes next. I’ve always found Flamel to be an interesting figure, which is why I bought the books.
I loved Book Lovers and My Mechanical Romance was good too! I really want to read Magic Steeped in Gold! I got it for my bday and can’t wait to start. I hope you enjoy!
