Top Ten Tuesday – Perfect Reads for Spooky Season

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Set in a School

Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.

This week’s theme is a Halloween freebie. So, I’ve chosen to share 10 books that seem like perfect reads for spooky season. The first five books are ones I’ve read this year, and I think they fit the spooky season vibe. The other five books are on my TBR. I probably won’t get to them before Halloween, but who says spooky season has to end on October 31st? 😊The titles link to my reviews, if available. The covers link to Goodreads in case any of them catch your eye!

An Education in Malice by S.T. Gibson, Deep Is the Fen by Lili Wilkinson, A Botanical Daughter by Noah Medlock, Evocation by S.T. Gibson, The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett

The Black Hunger by Nicholas Pullen, Don’t Let the Forest In by CG Drews, Bound in Blood by Eric LaRocca et al., Immortal Dark by Tigest Girma, A Dowry of Blood by S.T. Gibson

There you have it! Ten books that seem like perfect reads for spooky season. Have you read any of these? Let me know down in the comments!

  1. I *loved* Immortal Dark and it’s absolutely perfect for the spooky season. Heavy dark academic creepy vibes šŸ˜ I didn’t realise The Tainted Cup was a spooky season type of read (although the book does kinda give creepy vibes lol) but I’m keen to check that one out!

    • The Tainted Cup is probably more creepy than spooky, but I still feel like the vibes fit the season. I’m glad to see you enjoyed Immortal Dark. My Owlcrate copy arrived not long ago, and I’m looking forward to reading it.
