Book Haul – September 2024

book haul

September was another pretty big month for me when it came to book acquisitions. Surprising no one, my book haul was pretty exorbitant once again. Luckily, it wasn’t worse than last month, but I still need to curb my buying considerably. I’ll be moving across the country before the end of the year. I’ve started packing my books already, and it is so overwhelming. I’m hoping to avoid buying many more books for the next few months. I’ve already skipped quite a few of my book boxes, and I’m going to do my best to stay away from Barnes & Noble. I do have some pre-orders on the way, though. So, I won’t be completely cutting off getting some new books.

You can see everything I added to my shelves down below. The book covers link to Goodreads in case you want to learn more about them. Be sure to check out my previous hauls, as well.

Book Haul – August 2024

book haul

I added quite a bit of stuff to my shelves in August. Most of the books were pre-orders or things I found on sale. There were SO MANY great sales, and I just could not resist. lol. Believe it or not, this was me showing some restraint…

Book Haul – July 2024

My book haul for July 2024 was pretty epic. I haven’t been feeling the best over the last few weeks. I have a tendency to overspend when I’m not feeling well, and this time has been no exception. lol. I spent a lot of money on resale special editions in July and managed to pick up some REALLY beautiful books. I snagged The Broken Binding editions of The Goblin Emperor and The Lies of Locke Lamora, as well as the Page and Wick edition of The Sword of Kaigen. Many of my new books this month also came from the used bookstore. So, I’ve rationalized my purchases by believing I’m helping the environment by keeping them out of landfill. 🙂

Book Haul – June 2024

I went a bit overboard in June, and my book haul definitely reflects my lack of restraint. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure that this post contains everything I bought or received. I lost track at some point in the month, but I think I managed to remember everything new. Maybe. It is definitely a good thing that I installed a bunch of new shelves last month. They are filling up fast…

Book Haul – May 2024

May was such a great month for releases, and I definitely added a bunch of them to my shelves. Luckily, I bought some awesome new bookcases this month, which means I’ve got plenty of space for all of my acquisitions. 🙂

Book Haul – April 2024

I showed some restraint in book purchases this month. I know it may not look like it from how many books are in this post, but I swear I didn’t buy that many books in April. A majority of these were pre-ordered a long time ago… So, they don’t count. 😉 Anyway. I got some great stuff in April, including quite a few of my highly anticipated releases (Otherworldly, The Living Force, The Familiar, & Funny Story).

Top Ten Tuesday – Books I Acquired in March 2024

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Set in a School

Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.

This week’s theme is a freebie! So, I’ve chosen to highlight my Top Ten Books I Acquired in March 2024. I usually do a book haul post each month with everything I’ve added to my shelves, but I haven’t kept up with all my purchases… So, I’m just going to use this week’s freebie to highlight some of my favorite March acquisitions instead of rummaging through all my receipts. Half of these are actually ARCs, too. March was a REALLY great month for ARC acquisitions. There’s just so many great new books coming our way soon. The covers link to Goodreads in case any of them catch your eye!

Book Haul – January 2024

I’m starting the year off strong with lots of new books, which is the opposite of what I’d hoped to do. lol. In my defense, many of these books came in my subscription boxes or from pre-orders. I actually only went to a bookstore one time in the entire month of January, which is a new record for me that sort of hurts my soul. I know if I go that I’ll be up to no good, though, and I can get into enough trouble on Pango and with my subscription boxes. Now let’s take a look at how deep of a hole I’ve buried myself in during January.

Book Haul – October 2023

Last month’s book haul was another wild one. There were a lot of great new releases in October, and I got my hands on SO MANY of them. 🙂 My bookshelves aren’t very happy about it, but I am. My poor TBR cart is overflowing, but I have been consistently reading a lot of new releases recently. So, it isn’t as bad as it could be. lol. I also managed to pick up some highly anticipated ARCs and utilized the library quite a bit last month, too. Here’s everything I added to my shelves in October:
