Stacking the Shelves (9) – June 12, 2021

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! The meme is hosted by Reading Reality.

Weekly Wrap-Up

This has been a pretty great week. I got a lot of work done around the house and have been spending more time inside because the heat is getting ridiculous. I’m not a big fan of summer because the heat and humidity make it almost unbearable, and the brunt of summer is just beginning. So, I foresee lots of days spent reading in the air conditioning in my near future. I’ve been excited about some TV debuts this week, as well (Loki and season two of Love, Victor, especially), and I’ve managed to get a good bit of reading done too (Red, White, & Royal Blue, The Darkness Outside Us, and If This Gets Out). The Pride Book Fest is also happening this weekend, and there have been a lot of great panels…so, go check it out on Youtube if you haven’t already.

Most importantly, today is my 11th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, my partner is working all day, but I’ve already started making us a nice dinner and am looking forward to spending the evening with her. I can’t believe I’m even old enough to have an 11th anniversary yet! Where does the time go?

Barnes & Noble Purchases

I picked up a few things from B&N this week. Some were new release I’ve been looking forward to and others were books that have been on my TBR for a while.

Final Thoughts

Overall, it was a good week even if it was pretty slow for picking up new reads. Although, I’m sure my wallet is happy I only picked up a handful this week.

Have you read any of the books I picked up? If so, what did you think? Are any of these on your TBR? Let me know in the comments below!
