Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! The meme is hosted by Reading Reality.
Happy Saturday everyone! I’ve been a bit out of sorts this week, and I’m not entirely sure why. I’ve been very forgetful, and my sleep cycle has been horribly out of wack. I slept through work meetings, forgot to pay my mortgage, and didn’t get much of anything productive done this week. I also didn’t go to a book shop at all this week. It is the first time in months I didn’t go to, at least, browse for a little while. I did manage to get some reading done, though (The Song of Achilles, What If It’s Us, & Not Quite Out). Most of it was done when I should have been sleeping…
I also went to the doctor this week, which I’ve discovered is now a source of major anxiety since having cancer. I almost had a panic attack in the waiting room, and I felt stupid and awful for it. The appointment went fine and was pretty humdrum. I guess I was just afraid they were going to find something terrible given how the last few years have played out.
Here’s to hoping next week will be a little better.
Amazon Book Mail
I saw someone tweet about this special addition of Dune, and the book looked absolutely stunning. The cover is gorgeous and the page edges are sprayed blue. I found it on Amazon for almost half off the list price and couldn’t resist. This is a book I’ve had my eye on for a while since I love science fiction, but I’ve never pulled the trigger on it. I’m looking forward to reading it.
Overall, it was a pretty slow and weird week. I’m excited about picking up this beautiful copy of Dune, though. Here’s hoping next week feels a little more normal.
Have you read any of the books I picked up? If so, what did you think? Are any of these on your TBR? Let me know in the comments below!
