Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! The meme is hosted by Reading Reality.
This has been a really busy week. I facilitated my last individual therapy sessions yesterday, and I am looking forward to taking some time off from doing therapy even though I will miss my clients. I also spent a great deal of time at the doctor’s office again this week. I had to get bloodwork done again and completed a 24 hour urine test since some of my kidney function indicators were wonky the last two times they were tested. I haven’t gotten the results yet, but I’m hopeful everything will work out okay. I made a lot of progress on my WIP this week. I can’t believe there’s only one week left of Camp NaNoWriMo, but I’m excited because it looks like I will be able to reach my goal of 10,000 words before the end of the month. Reading this week has been good, as well. I finished The Blacktongue Thief, A Touch of Death, and Star Wars: The High Republic: The Rising Storm (review coming soon!). I’ve also started Blood Animus and The Wolf and the Woodsman. So, be on the lookout for those reviews soon too!
Barnes & Noble Purchases
I went looking for She Who Became the Sun and had trouble finding it in my local store. While I was hunting for it, I came across some other books I’ve seen recommended elsewhere and decided to pick them up too!
I finished A Touch of Death this last week and loved it so much I immediately went to purchase the rest of the series. I don’t know when I will get to it, but the books are definitely pretty high up on my TBR. I also picked up Den of Vipers because I saw someone post on Twitter that it was free on Amazon. I know nothing about the book, but others seemed excited it was free. So, I thought I’d give it a shot.
I also picked up a few comics this week. I am current on reading all my Star Wars titles. So, I picked up the new issues of those books. War of the Bounty Hunters has continued being enjoyable so far, and I’m looking forward to these installments of the story. I also picked up Moon Knight #1 because I’m interested in learning more about the character.
Overall, this was a good week. I’m looking forward to reading everything I picked up, and maybe I’ll even actually get to them one day. lol.
Have you read any of the books I picked up? If so, what did you think? Are any of these on your TBR? Let me know in the comments below!
