Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! The meme is hosted by Reading Reality.
Weekly Wrap-Up
This week has been a whirlwind. It was my last week of work. So, I am officially now on hiatus from working as a therapist. I’m looking forward to being able to focus only on me and my family for a while. I also had a lot of appointments, vet visits and dental exams. I felt as though I was running all over town all week long. I don’t plan to do that again for a while because of the new coronavirus surge. The state I live in is leading the nation in per capita cases and going out right now makes me incredibly uneasy given my underlying medical conditions. So, I’ll be staying in and reading a lot. Luckily, the Trope-ical Readathon starts tomorrow! Despite being on the move quite a bit this week, I did get some reading done. I finished The Wolf and the Woodsman and made some more progress on Blood Animus. I’m also working on finishing Shards of Earth, which I plan to finish today.
Barnes & Noble Purchases

I went looking for the new Star Wars book and was delighted to see the store had restocked the rest of the Red Rising trilogy since my last visit. So, I picked up the rest of them while I was there as well.
Comic Books

I also picked up a quite a few comics this week. I got the Star Wars and Spider-Man titles, as always. However, I also bought the newest issues from books I plan to catch up on soon, such as Daredevil and Fantastic Four. I recently read and reviewed the latest Eternals arc, and the issue released this week wrapped up that arc.
Final Thoughts
Overall, it has been a hectic week, but I’ve enjoyed what I read and am looking forward to reading so much more this coming week.
Have you read any of the books I picked up? If so, what did you think? Are any of these on your TBR? Let me know in the comments below!
It is kinda scary seeing the corona surge going on. Stay safe! I’m really curious about the Eternals, with the movie coming up…
Yeah. It’s a real mess. Unfortunately, it seems like we are right back where we started with COVID (if not worse thanks to the highly transmissible nature of the Delta variant). I was curious about the Eternals too. That’s why I picked up their new book, and overall, I think I have a decent understanding now of their lineage and purpose, at least in the comic universe. It will be interesting to see how they fit into the MCU.
