Stacking the Shelves (21) – September 4, 2021

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! The meme is hosted by Reading Reality.

Weekly Wrap-Up

This week has definitely been different. We’ve had evacuees in our house all week because parts of Southeast Louisiana are still without power after the hurricane. Luckily, none of our family sustained damage to their houses. So, they’ve now been able to return home to clean up. I haven’t really done much else this week but try to be a good host, which I hope I did successfully. I did manage to finish a few books too, but I didn’t really care for most of what I read this week, which was kind of a bummer. I was also able to get one review completed for Ace of Spades.

Barnes & Noble

Given everything that has been going on the last couple weeks, I decided to treat myself to a Barnes & Noble trip. I picked up quite a bit of stuff I’ve had my eye on for a while.

Library Acquisition

I’ve had this book on hold at the library for several months waiting for them to finish processing the book to get it on the shelves. I finally got the notification it is ready to be picked up and am looking forward to adding it to my TBR for this month.

Comic Books

This was a pretty typical comics week for me, lots of Spider-Man and Star Wars with some Avengers thrown in for good measure.

Final Thoughts

Overall, it hasn’t been the best week, but I’m excited about the books I got this week…so much that I’ve already started reading one of them. So, things are looking up! Have a great week everyone.

Have you read any of the books I picked up? If so, what did you think? Are any of these on your TBR? Let me know in the comments below!
