Stacking the Shelves (23) – September 18, 2021

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! The meme is hosted by Reading Reality.

Weekly Wrap-Up

Happy Saturday! This week has been quite busy with lab tests, reading, and work around the house. I got the ultrasound of my kidneys this week, but I’m still waiting on all the results for it and my blood work. I was busy with chores this week, as well, and installed a new home security system in my house. I’ve read a few books this week, including one of my most anticipated releases of this fall. I reviewed two of the books I read this week, Under the Whispering Door and Traitors of the Black Crown. Overall, it has been a pretty great week.

Barnes & Noble

I was excited to pick up Certain Dark Things, but could not find it in the store. So, I went online to check there, and it was available at my local store. Apparently I’m just blind… While online, I noticed Perfect on Paper and These Violent Delights were both on sale on the website and went ahead and ordered them too. I’ve had my eye on them for a while and was happy to get an even bigger discount. The best part? I was able to pick up all three at my local store the next day.

NetGalley eARC

I got another eARC this week, which looks pretty interesting. I’m looking forward to reading it along with the first book in the series soon.

Kindle eBooks

I needed to spend my ebook credits before they expired. So, I decided to buy the rest of the Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. I’ve heard great things about this series and can’t wait to get to it.

Comic Books

This was a pretty busy comics week. There was lots of Star Wars and a huge issue of Fantastic Four celebrating 60 years of the characters. The conclusion of W.E.B. of Spider-Man was also released, which will be my next read now that the story arc is concluded.

Final Thoughts

Overall, it’s been a pretty busy, but great, week, and I picked up a lot of books and comics I am excited to read. I hope you all had a great week too!

Have you read any of the books I picked up? If so, what did you think? Are any of these on your TBR? Let me know in the comments below!
