Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! The meme is hosted by Reading Reality.
Weekly Wrap-Up
Hello, everyone! I hope you have had a great week. This week has been pretty good for me. I’ve continued helping my mom some while she recovers from surgery. She seems to be doing well. I’ve also done my usual shopping, cleaning, and other household duties. I cannot believe I’ve been doing Stacking the Shelves for 25 weeks now. I’ve added so many great books to my collection during that time, and it has caused my TBR to swell larger than ever before. I honestly feel a bit overwhelmed by it all, especially since I’m running out of bookshelf space again. So, I’ve decided to take a break from this particular meme. I still plan to do a wrap-up post each week, but the focus won’t necessarily be on the books I’ve acquired during the week. I’m also putting myself on a book buying ban (excluding comics) for the entire month of October. So, we’ll see how that goes considering I’m already wanting to go to the bookstore…
Physical Books
I went to Barnes & Noble searching for all of these and only found Light From Uncommon Stars. So, I ordered the rest from Amazon and enjoyed getting the book mail. 🙂
NetGalley eARC
I got approved for two more eARCs this week, which I’m excited about. I almost passed out from excitement when I got the email for The Bone Shard Emperor. I was 50 pages from finishing the first book in the series when I saw the email, which, oddly enough, is not the first time that has happened. I’m also looking forward to Obsidian because the cover looks amazing and the synopsis sounds intriguing.
Kindle eBooks
Now that it will be a while before a new TJ Klune book comes out, I decided to dig into his back list a bit. I also saw Untouched on Twitter, and it was on sale. So, I couldn’t pass it up. This is why I need a book buying ban…
Comic Books
I’ve actually managed to make some progress on my Star Wars comics and plan to continue catching up on them, and others, throughout this month. This week’s haul added a few more to the list…
Final Thoughts
Overall, it’s been a pretty good week. I read a few good books and made some progress on my comics. How has your week been?
Have you read any of the books I picked up? If so, what did you think? Are any of these on your TBR? Let me know in the comments below!
