My 5 Most Anticipated December 2021 Releases

Hello, everyone! November only has one more week, which means it is time to look forward to the new books coming out in December. So, here are my top 5 most anticipated releases for December 2021, in no particular order, that I will definitely be adding to my shelves in one form or another (if I haven’t already):

Tethered Spirits by T.A. Hernandez

Release Date: December 14, 2021

Goodreads Rating: 4.50 out of 5 Stars

What Caught My Eye: I stumbled across this book on NetGalley and loved the cover. The synopsis sealed the deal with its talk of mystery and hidden identity. So, hopefully I’ll love it.

If This Gets Out by Sophie Gonzales & Cale Dietrich

Release Date: December 7, 2021

Goodreads Rating: 4.30 out of 5 Stars

What Caught My Eye: I found this book on NetGalley approximately six months ago. The cover got me interested, but the synopsis promised a story of hidden love amid boy bands. Who could resist that? You can see my review here. I loved the book so much I already pre-ordered it to get some swag. lol.

Here’s To Us by Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera

Release Date: December 28, 2021

Goodreads Rating: 4.36 out of 5 Stars

What Caught My Eye: I enjoyed the first book in this series quite a bit. So, I’m looking forward to seeing what the characters are up to now. I was disappointed (***SPOILER***) they didn’t end up together at the end of the first one…so maybe that can rectified here?

Dark Queen Watching by Paul Doherty

Release Date: December 7, 2021

Goodreads Rating: 3.77 out of 5 Stars

What Caught My Eye: The cover and allure of interesting historical fiction brought me to this book. My NetGalley request was denied, and I’m kind of glad it was because I didn’t realize this was the third book of a series. I plan to read them all, but I don’t think I could have managed it so quickly.

Innate Magic by Shannon Fay

Release Date: December 1, 2021

Goodreads Rating: 3.87 out of 5 Stars

What Caught My Eye: This was a book I saw and picked up via Amazon First Reads. I love the cover and couldn’t resist picking up a book about a queer magician in a re-imagining of post-war London.

So, there you have it! My five most anticipated books of December 2021. Are any of these on your TBR? What December 2021 releases are you most excited about? Let me know in the comments!
