Hello, everyone! It’s Wednesday! That means it is time for another WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words. I’ll be answering the following questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?
What did you read last?
The Pattern of the World by J. T. Greathouse – 3.75⭐ – This was my least favorite of the series, but it did wrap things up okay. It was just sooooo slow! Read all my thoughts in my review!
The Book That Wouldn’t Burn by Mark Lawrence – 4.75⭐ – This book was so good! It was imaginative and unique, and I loved the library setting. The characters were fascinating and made the story feel intimate while also being quite epic in scope. I really never saw the twists coming, and I’ve got so many questions that need to be answered. I’m ready for book two please! 🙂
Path of Vengeance by Cavan Scott – 4.25⭐ – This was a really good ending to phase two of The High Republic. It filled in many of the gaps in the larger story while delivering a satisfying conclusion to the emotional journey of Marda and Yana. See all my thoughts in my review!
How to Bite Your Neighbor & Win a Wager by D. N. Bryn – 3.75⭐ – This was a fun take on vampire romance. Vincent was an absolute sweetheart, and I wanted him to be happy and safe so bad. I liked how vampirism was used to explore the experience of homelessness and living with a disability. I have mixed feelings about Wesley, though. He was a bit of a privileged twat, and I think Vincent could do better. They had a hot dynamic, though, with the whole bite kink thing. So, it still worked for me overall.
A Game of Wings and Marks by Rebecca Crunden – 3.75⭐– I love stories with angels and demons, and this one was unique and held my interest. The pacing was a bit too fast, though. On the bright side, I think I found my soul mate in Zev, the demon of games. Just don’t tell my wife. 😉 See all my thoughts about this one in my review!
Wonderstruck by Allie Therin – 4.5⭐ – I finally finished this trilogy. I love these books so much. I’m not going to say much more, though, because there may be a post about the series on the way. 🙂

What are you currently reading?
The Midnight Kingdom by Tara Sim (7%) – I’m not too far into this one, but I’m loving it. I’m very glad that I re-read the first book because I don’t think I’d have a clue about what was going on otherwise. lol. I’m REALLY hoping Nik and Fin get together in this one.
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir (10%) – I just started this book yesterday, and I’m enjoying it so far. I like how the main character uses science to figure out his situation. He’s also a really likeable character, and I’m loving his average guy takes on the extraordinary vibe.

What will you read next?

Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater, The Invisible Life of Addie Larue by V. E. Schwab, Prince of the Sorrows by Kellen Graves
