Top Ten Tuesday – Books I LOVED with Fewer Than 2000 Ratings on Goodreads

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Set in a School

Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.

This week’s theme is a throwback freebie. So, I chose an old one from 2019 that seemed fun, Top Ten Books I LOVED with Fewer Than 2000 Ratings on Goodreads. I often read stuff that isn’t super mainstream, including quite a few indie titles. It made this an interesting topic to consider. I had fun going through my past favorites to see how many ratings they had acquired. Some surprised me by having so many and others by having so few. You can find 10 of my faves with the fewest ratings down below. Hopefully, I can inspire someone to pick one of them up. The titles link to my reviews, if available. The covers link to Goodreads in case any of them catch your eye!

We Shall Be Monsters by Tara Sim, The Mars House by Natasha Pulley, The Phoenix Bride by Natasha Siegel, Legacy of the Brightwash by Krystle Matar, Charming Young Man by Eliot Schrefer

Kit & Basie by Tess Carletta, Empire of Exiles by Erin M. Evans, Ymir by Rich Larson, The Thirteenth Hour by Trudie Skies, The Relic Spell by Jimena I. Novaro

There you have it! Ten books I loved with fewer than 2000 ratings on Goodreads. Have you read any of these? Let me know down in the comments!

  1. I kind of want to do this one too lol. Sometimes I read a book and wonder why it doesn’t have more ratings!

  2. This is the second post like this!! Love it. We Shall Be Monsters is on my TBR. Empire of Exiles is one that I started last month and then never had time to read. I’m hoping for August to jump back into it! lol
