My book haul for July 2024 was pretty epic. I haven’t been feeling the best over the last few weeks. I have a tendency to overspend when I’m not feeling well, and this time has been no exception. lol. I spent a lot of money on resale special editions in July and managed to pick up some REALLY beautiful books. I snagged The Broken Binding editions of The Goblin Emperor and The Lies of Locke Lamora, as well as the Page and Wick edition of The Sword of Kaigen. Many of my new books this month also came from the used bookstore. So, I’ve rationalized my purchases by believing I’m helping the environment by keeping them out of landfill. 🙂
You can see everything I added to my shelves down below. The book covers link to Goodreads in case you want to learn more about them. Be sure to check out what I hauled in June, as well.

That’s everything I’ve added to my shelves in July! What books have you bought or received recently? As always, let me know down in the comments!
That’s a great haul! I hope you feel better!
Thank you! 🙂
Sorry you haven’t been feeling well. I’m the same way – if I don’t feel well, I deserve a little treat. Or a lot of little treats haha. Hope you’re feeling better soon!
Thanks! I am feeling better now, thankfully. I still have some lingering symptoms, but things are much better than they were a couple of weeks ago. Shingles is no joke. I definitely think the treats helped. 🙂
Great lot of books! I need to read The Sword of Kaigen by M. L. Wang.
I’ve heard nothing but great things about it, and the Page and Wick edition is stunning.
That Goblin Emperor edition is so pretty! I really need to read that.
It is such a gorgeous book!! I need to read it, too. From everything I’ve heard about it, I’m convinced I’ll love it.
haha same 🙂 !!
I picked up The Spellshop too, lavender-sprayed edges and all! The Malevolent Seven is still sitting in Mount TBR.
I hope we both enjoy The Spellshop. I love the Owlcrate version that I got, but I also really like the regular cover with the lavender edges… maybe even a little more than the Owlcrate redesign.
The Malevolent Seven looked cool, and I managed to snag it using the get 2 books for one credit on Audible. I’m sure we’ll both get to it eventually. lol.
