October 2025 Hopefuls (AKA My TBR)

A new month means that it is time for a new TBR! So, today I’m making a new one for October. Without further ado, let’s dive into my October 2025 hopefuls and a brief recap of how I did with last month’s TBR!

Recap of Last Month

For the second month in a row, I only finished half of my TBR. I read Katabasis, Exquisite Things, and An Amateur Witch’s Guide to Murder. I did manage to start on my book box pick with Voidwalker, which I hope to finish in the next couple of days. I didn’t get to a re-read at all and still need to read my ARC of All of Us Murderers, which is out next week.

October 2025 Priority Hopefuls

I’m sticking with six books again for October, but I’m doing something a little different. I’ve decided to choose six priority hopefuls, as well as a handful of other things I’d love to get to. This month’s TBR is dominated by ARCs (All of Us Murderers by KJ Charles, Isle in the Silver Sea by Tasha Suri, Hazelthorn by CG Drews, & Redneck Revenant by David R. Slayton) and Jade City by Fonda Lee, which I’m buddy re-reading with a group over the course of the month. I’ve also included a long overdue ARC, All Souls Lost by Dan Moren, in my priority list.

Other October 2025 Hopefuls

I’d love to get to these books, too, most of which are also October ARCs. I definitely bit off more than I could chew, but there were just so many great books releasing this month. I couldn’t help myself…

Our Vicious Oaths by N.E. Davenport, Thirsty by Lucy Lehane, Making History by K.J. Parker, Savage Blooms by S.T. Gibson

Well. Those are my October 2025 hopefuls. I’d love to read everything listed on this page, but that is unlikely. If I make it through six of them, I’ll consider October to be a success! Do we have any hopefuls in common this month? Happy reading!

  1. Looks like some interesting reads for you this month! I read Jade City a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it, but I’ve mostly forgotten what happens – I’ll have to reread it at some point so I can continue the series.

    • I did have some great reads in October! Sorry it has taken so long to respond… Your comment got caught in the spam filter. As for Jade City, I had a really great time re-reading it last month. I hadn’t read it since 2021. I’d forgotten some stuff, but it was interesting to re-read it for the first time knowing how the big picture would unfold. There were lots of things I didn’t notice before or forgot. I hope you enjoy it when you get around to re-reading and finishing the series. The last book was definitely my favorite of them.
