Monthly Wrap-Up: April 2022

Hello, everyone! How is it already May? April was a pretty good month. The first week or so I was still recovering from oral surgery, but I’m grateful there were no complications. I’m feeling better now and am all healed up. I also went on a short vacation over the Easter holiday, which was nice. I haven’t left the house much since COVID started. So, it was nice to have a change of scenery even if it was only for a few days. Unsurprisingly, the other major thing that happened this month was that I read A LOT. I participated in two readathons and ended up reading even more than usual. Scroll below to see all the details!

Readathon Updates

I haven’t been the best at getting my weekly updates finished the past couple of weeks. So, I thought I’d just take a quick minute to post an update on how my readathons are going this month. This month has been a bit of weird one so far when it comes to reading. Almost every book on my TBR has been changed because I’ve been focusing more on mood reading, which has been a nice change of pace. That being said, I’ve made some pretty good progress on getting the challenges finished. I’ve only got four books left to go, and I plan to finish one of them today (hopefully). Padwin has been doing a great job of finishing his classes at Orilium and only has two more to go to successfully complete this term of his magical education! Hopefully he’ll be able to pull it off.

Hello, everyone! I’ve been really struggling the last few days to pick what I want to read next. I’ve been so excited about these two readathons for a while, and now that they are here I’m kind of in a slump, which has me bummed. I’ve finally settled on some choices, but I think many of these will likely change as the month progresses. I’m really in the mood to mood read, but I’m going to try to stick to these as closely as I can because they are mostly ARCs/tour obligations. (Edit note: The first two books I’ve started for this month since initially writing this post are not on these lists. lol. So, I’m off to a great start…)
