Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! The meme is hosted by Reading Reality.
Weekly Wrap-Up
This has been a pretty rough week. Work has been a bit awful. It figures that as soon as I give my notice everything goes to hell. On the bright side, I only have a few more weeks of dealing with it, and then I can focus on what comes next. Alternatively, it has been a pretty good reading week for me. I finished Firekeeper’s Daughter and The Sightless City, which were both enjoyable reads. I’m also approximately halfway finished with Any Way the Wind Blows, and I’m loving it so far. I’ve been waiting for its release for a while now, and I am enjoying being back in the world of Simon, Baz, Agatha, and Penelope. I wrote my last New Comic Book Day post this week because I’ve decided to change the way I collect comics. So, if I buy any comics in a given week, they will be included in these posts moving forward. Overall, the week was a mixed bag of awful work drama and really great reading. I hope to have the review for Any Way the Wind Blows up sometime tomorrow because I am determined to see how it all ends before tonight is over.
Barnes & Noble Purchases

It has also been a great week for buying books! I picked up a lot of stuff at Barnes & Noble. I finally caved and bought ACOTAR. I’m looking forward to seeing what all the hype is about. I also picked up Black Sun and The Priory of the Orange Tree, which have been on my TBR for a while. They were both on sale, and I had a coupon, which is a deadly combination. I ended up getting one of them for free once all of my savings were added up. 🙂 And, of course, I had to pick up the absolutely stunning Six Crimson Cranes. Just look at that cover. How could I say no to picking it up on release day.
Amazon Book Mail

I preordered Any Way the Wind Blows a month or two ago because I was so excited to get it. I started reading it almost as soon as it came in the mail. I also ordered The Magicians trilogy by Lev Grossman because I’ve always wanted to watch the show and decided to read the books first. I found the box set on Amazon and was able to get it for half off with a credit I had. I swear…credits and sales are my downfall.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I’m excited about what I picked up this week. It is one of the rare times that I’ve actually already started reading one of them because I was so excited about it. Hopefully, this next week is a little slower on acquisition because my new bookshelf is already over half full…
Have you read any of the books I picked up? If so, what did you think? Are any of these on your TBR? Let me know in the comments below!
