January was a really great start to the year in regards to book acquisitions. I relied on the library a surprising amount, but I also purchased quite a bit because so many books were still 50% off a B&N. In total, I spent $143 on books in January, not counting book boxes. Luckily, I was lighter than usual on the ARCs. Maybe I’m beginning to learn a little self control? Probably not. lol. Although, now that I’ve been auto-approved by Orbit on NetGalley, the real test begins. Without further ado, here is everything I got my hands on last month:
Electronic ARCs

Digital Purchases (Audiobooks & ebooks)

Physical Purchases

Library Books

Are any of these books on your TBR? Have you read any of them? If so, let me know in the comments!
Awesome haul. Hell Bent is on my tbr. I can’t wait to get to it.
I enjoyed it when I listened to it a couple weeks ago. I hope you like it when you get to it!
WHAT A GREAT HAUL, wow! Lets see, I have Hell Bent, and The Secret Lives of Country Gentleman on my TBR. I also have an ARC of Perilous Times, and I just finished buddy reading Prospect Hill by Leslie and Julie. Spoiler alert – we weren’t fans.
Oh no. That’s a bummer about Prospect Hill. I almost didn’t request that one. Now I’m wondering if it was a mistake to do so… I’m really looking forward to Perilous Times! I love Arthurian stuff, and it sounds really great.
That’s a great haul!

Thatโs a great haul,The Secret Lives of Country Gentleman on my TBR.. it sounds really great.
I just finished reading it this evening and really enjoyed it. ๐
Excellent haul! I’m excited to read my eARC of “Silver Nitrate,” too!
I am too! I’m becoming more and more a fan with every Moreno-Garcia book I read.
Great haul! I have some of these as well: The Fairy Bargains of Prospect Hill, Perilous Times, Spare, and a few others. I surprised myself and bought a lot of books in January, which I chalk up to my bad mood at the end of the month. Gotta love retail therapy. It didn’t help my backlog challenge, but it made me happy haha.
Retail therapy is the best! I always feel better after buying a big stack of books (or LEGOs).
It’s so true…I bought a couple of female rage-type books too, haha.
