Book Haul – April 2024

I showed some restraint in book purchases this month. I know it may not look like it from how many books are in this post, but I swear I didn’t buy that many books in April. A majority of these were pre-ordered a long time ago… So, they don’t count. 😉 Anyway. I got some great stuff in April, including quite a few of my highly anticipated releases (Otherworldly, The Living Force, The Familiar, & Funny Story).

You can see everything I added to my shelves down below. The book covers link to Goodreads in case you want to learn more about them.

  1. Exactly…preorders don’t count! 😉 I see you have a Christmas ARC. This reminds me of an ARC I saw yesterday that you might be interested in. It’s in the sci-fi/fantasy section. Sort by latest to earliest and it’s a Christmas one with a similar looking cover that’s a play on the nightmare before Christmas…maybe the Nightmare Before Mister? Ah I can’t remember the title, but go check it out!

    • I just went and looked, and I’m assuming you mean The Nightmare Before Kissmas. I just requested it. 🙂 It sounds hilarious and right up my alley. I was sold as soon as I saw it was a mix of Red, White & Royal Blue and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

      • Yesss haha that’s exactly the one!! I knew it was some play on the original title but couldn’t remember what for the life of me. 😂 Fingers crossed you get approved for it!

  2. So many books on here that I also want to read! I’m keen to check out Otherworldly and The Familiar soon (hopefully). I’ve never heard of Whisper in the Walls before but that cover is gorgeous and I now want to check it out and add it to my TBR? 😂 I hope you enjoy all of these!

    • Whisper in the Walls is the sequel to A Door in the Dark, which was a total cover buy for me. lol. So, I understand completely. I didn’t love the first book, but it made me interested enough to see where things go in the second. This one will be the deciding factor on whether I continue with the series.
