Hello, everyone! It’s Wednesday! That means it is time for another WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words. I’ll be answering the following questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?
What did you read last?
Here is a look at the three books I’ve read since my last check-in:

Tempest Breaker by Cavan Scott – 4.5⭐– Lourna Dee is such a fascinating character. This audio drama did a good job of recapping everything she’s been up to in Phase 3 of The High Republic and adding a satisfying conclusion to her arc. I don’t know what role she’ll play in the final books to come, but this felt like a good swan song for her character.

Nobody in Particular by Sophie Gonzales – 4.25⭐– I’m a huge fan of Gonzales, and this book was no exception. If you want an angsty coming out story with royalty, a boarding school setting, and characters with mental health struggles, definitely pick this one up. Read my full review here!

A Burning in the Bones by Scott Reintgen – 4.5⭐– This book really stuck the landing and worked as a great end to this trilogy. It was thrilling from start to finish, and I read most of it in just a couple of sittings.
What are you currently reading?
We Can Never Leave by H. E. Edgmon (35%) – This story is about a group of misfit teens in a cult. All of the adults disappear one day, and the teens are trying to figure out how to live in the “normal” world they’ve never known. The story is weird and mysterious but also populated by a great cast of characters. I just want to give them all a big hug.
On Vicious Worlds by Bethany Jacobs (36%) – I’ve finally started this sequel! It is so good so far. I’m really impressed with how this author weaves together so many different POVs and plot threads.
His Face Is the Sun by Michelle Jabès Corpora (42%) – I finally picked this one back up, but I didn’t make it very far. Hopefully, I can get it finished in the coming week because I am super curious to see where the story goes.

What will you read next?
I’m not sure what I’ll be reading next, but I still have a bunch of ARCs and recent releases I need to get to. Here are a few of them:

The Survivor Wants to Die at the End by Adam Silvera, The Lure of Their Graves by Laura R. Samotin, The Palace of Illusions by Rowenna Miller
I hope you’ve all had a great week! What have you been reading? Have you read any of these books? Let me know in the comments and feel free to link your WWW Wednesday posts there, as well. I’d love to see them!
I didn’t know the Silvera book ended up into a series! Hopefully you enjoy this new one, too.
Yeah! The first book actually ended up being the middle one. He wrote the trilogy out of order. The prequel was great. So, I’m definitely looking forward to this sequel. 🙂
I’ve been curious about Edgmon’s books for a while now. I’m curious to see what you think of it in the end but I hope you continue enjoying it! There are so many stunning covers here and it’s making me want to pick all of these up 😂
I liked it! The teen drama got to be a bit much at times, but the weirdness and mysteriousness of the story made up for it.
