Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday. This meme was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.
This week’s theme is Books on My Summer 2025 to-Read List. I actually did okay with my spring list. I read 6 out of the 10 books that I chose. That’s most likely due to many of them being ARCs. lol. Hopefully, summer will be just as successful (or more). Let’s take a look at what I hope to read before the summer is over… The covers link to the Goodreads page of each book in case something catches your eye!

The Mercy Makers by Tessa Gratton, Engines of War by R.S. Ford, The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig, A Far Better Thing by H.G. Parry, The Listeners by Maggie Stiefvater

Trials of the Jedi by Charles Soule, Four Ruined Realms by Mai Corland, A Venom Dark and Sweet by Judy I. Lin, The Nightshade God by Hannah Whitten, The Bewitching by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
There you have it! Ten books on my summer 2025 to-read list. Do we have any books in common? Let me know down in the comments!
The Knight and the Moth was so good! I finished A Far Better Thing yesterday and really enjoyed that one too. Julie and I DNF’d Mercy Makers. 🙁 The Nightshade God is coming up soon and I totally forgot about it. haha I hope you enjoy all your reads, Chris!!
Oh no. I’m sad to see that you and Julie didn’t like Mercy Makers. I’ve really been looking forward to it because I enjoyed some of the author’s Star Wars books.
Ugh, I’m sorry! We were so bummed because the premise is so good. Maybe you will like it!
I may have to look into that Star Wars title!
I’m so excited about it! It is the finale of The High Republic initiative, and I can’t wait to see how they manage to cap off three phases worth of storytelling.
The Bewitching was on my list, too!
It looks like you have your eye on some interesting books. I hope you enjoy all of them when the opportunity strikes.

Thank you!
We don’t have any books in common, but we have at least one author in commmon. Rachel Gillig made my list with One Dark Window
I loved One Dark Window and its sequel. I hope you enjoy them!
I’m looking forward to The Listeners as well!
I just started it and am so intrigued already. 🙂
The Knight and the Moth and The Listeners are on my list as well. The first one is pre-ordered as I want to read this in Dutch, and for the second one I’d rather wait for reviews as I’m still not sure whether Stiefvater’s writing is for me. I find the first 2 Raven Cycle novels very, very vague…

I’m looking forward to trying The Listeners! I really should put in my library request — I have a feeling it’ll be quite a wait. Enjoy your summer reading!
Thank you! I just started it and am enjoying it so far. I hope you enjoy your summer reading, as well!
THE LISTENERS is one I want to read, too. It sounds very intriguing!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
