Hello, everyone! It’s Wednesday! That means it is time for another WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words. I’ll be answering the following questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?
What did you read last?
It has been kind of a slow reading week for me. Here is a look at the two books I’ve finished in the week since my last WWW Wednesday check-in:
Human Rites by Juno Dawson (4.25⭐) – This was a great conclusion to the series. I don’t want to say anything else because of spoilers. However, I will say that some parts of this book felt really rushed. The author juggled a lot of different plot points in order to tie everything up. I liked how it all played out, but I wish some aspects of the story had been able to get a little more page time. If you enjoyed the first two books, you’ll probably like this one, too.
Immortal Consequences by I. V. Marie (3.5⭐) – I liked this book, but it wasn’t as good as I’d hoped it would be. The premise was really cool. The story just needed a bit more work to reach its full potential. The world-building, especially, was quite weak, and some of the reasoning for character actions felt incredibly thin. I think a few less POVs would have helped, too. Six was just a bit unwieldy while also trying to lay the groundwork for everything else. I’m interested enough to read the sequel, though, because there were some good twists.

What are you currently reading?
A Bluestocking’s Guide to Decadence by Jess Everlee (13%) – I’m so happy Jo has gotten her own story. This has been a great series so far, and this third installment is off to a great start.
Wings of Steel and Fury by Sarah J. Daley (45%) – I’m struggling with this book so much. Despite a decent start, none of these characters are interesting to me except the angel some of the time. Things feel like they’ve moved so slow with very little character development to fill up the space. I might DNF it. We’ll see.
The Good Vampire’s Guide to Blood & Boyfriends by Jamie D’Amato (66%) – I am LOVING this book so far. It is funny and cute and surprisingly philosophical. The mental health rep is well done, and I adore all of the characters.

What will you read next?
Hopefully, it will be one of these…

The Ellyrian Code by B.F. Peterson, To Sketch a Scandal by Jess Everlee, Katabasis by R.F. Kuang
I hope you’ve all had a great week! What have you been reading? Have you read any of these books? Let me know in the comments and feel free to link your WWW Wednesday posts there, as well. I’d love to see them!
