A new month means it is time for a new TBR, and the start of December means the Reindeer Readathon is upon us. This is one of my favorite readathons, and I always look forward to participating each year. Without further ado, let’s jump into what I hope to be reading this month!
Reindeer Readathon
This will be my third year participating in the Reindeer Readathon, and I couldn’t be more excited to do it again as a member of Team Snowflake. The prompts are always great, and the festive theme of the readathon always puts me in the holiday spirit. There are nine prompts corresponding to Santa’s nine reindeer. You can find out more about the readathon by watching the announcement video:
Here are the 9 books I plan to use to satisfy the prompts:
- Dasher (a book where title has a word from the word grid) – Book of Night by Holly Black (🎧 Hoopla)
- Dancer (a book with a title that has at least 5 words in it) – Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands by Heather Fawcett (📱 ARC)
- Prancer (a book set in a place you have never been) – Fellow Travelers by Thomas Mallon (📖 owned)
- Vixen (a book you have been putting off) – Painted Devils by Margaret Owen (📖 owned)
- Comet (a book that starts with the same letter as your star sign) – All the Hidden Paths by Foz Meadows (📱 ARC)
- Cupid (a book that has multiple points of view) – The Eye of Darkness by George Mann (📖 owned)
- Donner (a book with multiple animals on the cover) – After the Forest by Kell Woods (📖 owned)
- Blitzen (a book with at least 100 pages) – Rise of the Red Blade by Delilah S. Dawson (📖 owned)
- Rudolph (a book that came out before you were born) – Swann’s Way by Marcel Proust (📖 owned)

I’m also still currently reading some books that I started in previous months. I still need to finish The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins and Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas.
Possibility Pile
I’ve also made a short list of some books I’m currently in the mood to read. Does this mean I’ll read them this month? I’d like to, but these books are less of a priority than my readathon pile. It’s also possible I won’t be in the mood for them anymore when I go to pick a book, but these are the ones I’d want to read if I picked today:

Mistletoe & Mishigas by M. A. Wardell, The Magician King by Lev Grossman, The Obsidian Tower by Melissa Caruso, Breeze Spells and Bridegrooms by Sarah Wallace & S.O. Callahan, The Slain Divine by David Dalglish
Are any of these books on your TBR? Have you already read them? If so, what did you think? Let me know down in the comments!
I love the idea of a reindeer readathon and you look like you have some great books lined up
It is such a fun readathon. I always have a blast with it.
Ooo, I really enjoyed Painted Devils! Great stack for the month!
I’ve been wanting to read it since it was released. I loved Little Thieves, but I’ve had to constantly push Painted Devils back because of ARCs and library holds. This month is finally the month, though! 🙂
you’ve got a selection of interesting books here! two books on my TBR are painted devils and emily wilde. I hope you enjoy all of these!!
Thank you! I’ve been wanting to read Painted Devils since it came out. So, I’m pretty excited to be prioritizing it this month. I’m also looking forward to seeing if this second Emily Wilde book lives up to how good the first one was. 🙂
ohmygoshhhhh i signed up for this a couple weeks ago too but id forgotten about it so i guess im genuinely very grateful for your post lol. GOOD LUCK WITH ALL THE BOOKS!!!
Glad I could help. lol. I hope you have a great time with the readathon! 🙂
We don’t share any common TBR books this month!! T_T Gosh, I’d love to read the first Emily Wilde but I’m working through my ARC backlog. But mood reading is always a possibility!
The first Emily Wilde is such a great book! I’m excited to see whether the second one lives up to it. I completely understand about needing to focus on ARCs. Several of these books are ARCs, and I’m determined to stay ahead of most of the release dates moving forward. I’ve actually managed to curtail my requests a bit, and I’m going to try to continue that into next year.
