Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.
This week’s theme is Books On My Winter 2023-2024 To-Read List, and I’ve chosen to focus on books I hope to read in early 2024 since my December TBR has already been set. There is a mix of upcoming releases and books from my shelves I’d really love to read soon.

The Trials of Empire by Richard Swan, Infinity Alchemist by Kacen Callendar, The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett, Disciples of Chaos by M. K. Lobb, An Education in Malice by S. T. Gibson

The Obsidian Tower by Melissa Caruso, Dark Rise by C. S. Pacat, A Door in the Dark by Scott Reintgen, An Inheritance of Magic by Benedict Jacka, The Buried and the Bound by Rochelle Hassan
There you have it! Ten books I’m hoping to read this winter. What books are you looking forward to reading in the next few months? Let me know down in the comments!
These definitely all look a bit dark rather than Christmas cosy. I hope you enjoy them all. I was a bit disappointed by An Inheritance of Magic.
Oh no! That sucks that it let you down. I’m hoping I enjoy it because I special ordered the UK cover. I guess I can be happy that at least it looks good on my shelf. Lol.
The dark vibes were totally accidental, but I think they work with the gloomy nature of winter. I’m not much of a Christmas book reader anyway. 🤷‍♂️
There are some lovely covers in your ten books. Hope that you do enjoy Inheritance of Magic.
“Disciples of Chaos” certainly sounds interesting! My list is here. 🙂
It’s a sequel I’ve been looking forward to since I finished the first book earlier this year. So, I’m excited the time is drawing near to get to it. 🙂
These all look like good reads! I love all of their covers.
There are definitely some great covers in this bunch!
Wow, these book covers all look so good and dark! I can feel the vibes already, a deliciously dark and cozy winter of reading!

That is such a great way of describing it. The dark vibes were completely accidental, but it definitely fits with the gloomy nature of winter.
Interesting collection of books. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of any of these. I hope you enjoy them.
Thank you! I hope you enjoy your winter reading, too!
I am exvited gif the next Swan book! I also have an ARC for The Tainted Cup! I hope you enjoy these!
There are some really pretty, eye-catching covers here! I hope you enjoy all these.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
