I’m not really sure what happened to the month of March. It just flew by! The weather was finally not horrible, and I managed to get some landscaping work done. I pulled weeds and planted some new rose bushes. I also had lots to do around the house, including getting some new faucets installed and making sure our air conditioner is ready for the brutal summer ahead. I also had a couple of medical follow-up appointments that all went fine. All in all, it was a pretty productive month. Most importantly, I read a bunch of books… So, let’s jump into talking about them.
What I’ve Read
Books & Audiobooks
March was a great reading month. I had a lot of fun participating in the Trope-ical Readathon. I actually finished all my prompts this time and even managed to complete all of the tropes/primary prompts for the first time. My average rating this month was 4.11, which is higher than last month. I read a little over 7,200 pages, which equaled 18 books. Comic Books
One of my goals for the year is to read more comic books. I set the arbitrary number at 100 floppies, but I’d love to read way more than that this year because I am years behind on issues at this point. I managed to read 8 issues in March. All 8 of them came from the most recent Moon Knight comic, which I’ve been wanting to finish for quite some time. I just find this character so fascinating, and I’ve always been interested in dissociative identity disorder. I plan to finish up reading this run of the comic in April, hopefully.

Progress On My 2024 Reading Goals
This year I am keeping things much simpler. I don’t have as many specific goals to track and am just trying to go with the flow. I do want to keep some sort of record of the trackable ones, though. So, here’s a quick peek at how my year is going so far.
- Goodreads Challenge: 49/100 books (+18 in March)
- Storygraph Pages Challenge: COMPLETED!!
- Read from My Shelves: 18 books [14 physical, 4 audio] (+8 in March)
- Books Unhauled: 14 sold on Pango (+4 in March)
- Read Comic Books: 25/100 floppies (+8 in March)
- Read Pre-2024 ARCs: 0/14 ARCs (+0 in March)
Final Thoughts
I did manage to do a few blog posts along with my reviews in March, including some book tags. You can find those in my blog archives if you are interested in checking them out. I also added quite a few books to my shelves in March, and I’ll have them all in a book haul post soon.
Overall, this has been another good month of reading. My average rating was 4.11 in March. My favorite book in March was The Phoenix Bride. What was your favorite book from March? Let me know down in the comments!
Thank you to everyone who has visited the blog and engaged with comments and/or likes! I appreciate all of you and always enjoy reading your input in the comments. I hope everyone is having a great April!
I’m glad your follow up appointments went well! And good for you on completing all the prompts for Trope-ical Readathon…I didn’t come close but I think I finished a third of them, or close to it. Have a great reading month in April!
A third of them is still a ton of books. There are just so many prompts. I hope your April is great, too.
Wow! Well done for completing all of the prompts in Trope-ical Readathon. I hope that April is just as good a month for you.
Thank you! April is off to a great start so far. I hope you have a great month, too.
My favorite book in march was Spare by prince harry
I enjoyed that one when I read it, too. Such a great memoir!
Ahhh!! Is this your first read of Illuminae or a reread?? Also, I’m loving seeing Lirael on here too. Such a blast from my childhood 💕
It is my first read of Illuminae. My mind was a bit blown by the end, and I had so much fun reading it. I hope to get to the second book soon since I’ve got them all sitting on my shelf.
Gemina is my fave of the trilogy, but I hope you love them all!!
