Easter Time Book Tag

Hello, everyone! I know Easter was yesterday, but I just couldn’t let the holiday pass without taking part in a book tag. I found the Easter Time Book Tag over on Wildwood Reads, and it was originally created by Theresa of The Calico Books.

EASTER EGG: NAME A BOOK THAT FEELS LIKE A HIDDEN GEM.

The Phoenix Bride by Natasha Siegel is one of my go-to answers when asked about hidden gems. This historical fiction novel was a beautiful exploration of grief and the healing power of connecting with someone who can relate to your pain. I recently found a physical copy of this book in the wild for the first time after searching for a year. I’m so excited to finally have it on my shelf.

BLOOM: A DEBUT NOVEL YOU LOVED

The Resurrectionist by A. Rae Dunlap was a thrilling debut that mixed historical fiction, true crime, and dark academia into a chilling tale. I can’t recommend the story of these body snatchers enough!

CHOCOLATE BUNNY: A BOOK SO GOOD YOU DIDN’T WANT IT TO END

Stranger Skies by Pascale Lacelle is one of my favorite reads so far this year. I loved the mix of time travel and portal fantasy, and all of the revelations had me itching for more.

CHEEP, CHEEP: A BOOK YOU BOUGHT FOR SUPER CHEAP

I stumbled across a copy of Prince of Fortune by Lisa Tirreno on Pango for only $1.80. The audiobook was good, and I’ve been wanting a copy for my shelves. So, I couldn’t pass it up! 🙂

JELLY BEAN: A BOOK YOU THOUGHT WAS JUST SO SWEET

This regency romance with a fantasy setting was so adorable and cozy. Breeze Spells and Bridegrooms by Sarah Wallace and S.O Callahan had some great characters who had to navigate a fake engagement slow burn romance while simultaneously working together. I loved it and really need to pick up the other books in the series.

CHURCH: A BOOK THAT CHANGED YOUR LIFE

More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera broke me in ways that were extremely cathartic. It is a story that I’ll never forget.

EASTER BASKET: A BOOK FILLED WITH SO MANY SURPRISES

The Raven Scholar by Antonia Hodgson had some stellar storytelling. There were many twists in this story, and I was shocked by where it all ended up.

Well. That’s it for the Easter Time Book Tag! I hope everyone who celebrated had a wonderful holiday. Now it’s time to hit up the candy sales for some chocolate! lol.
