Books I Hope Could End a Reading Slump – Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Set in a School

Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday. This meme was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.

This week’s theme is Books Guaranteed to Put an End to Your Book Slump. I’ve decided to twist the theme a little this week and share the books on my TBR that I’d most likely reach for to pull myself out of a slump. The covers link to the Goodreads page of each book in case something catches your eye!

Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V. E. Schwab, The Two Lies of Faven Sythe by Megan E. O’Keefe, The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig, Sorcery and Small Magics by Maiga Doocy, These Violent Delights by Micah Nemerever

The Brightness Outside Us by Eliot Schrefer, It Takes Two to Tumble by Cat Sebastian, Otherworldly by F. T. Lukens, Masters of Death by Olivie Blake, They Hate Each Other by Amanda Woody

There you have it! Ten books on my TBR that I hope could end a reading slump. Have you read any of these? Let me know your thoughts down in the comments!

  1. Ooh, nice twist to the prompt! I think I would reach for They Hate Each Other, The Knight and the Moth, and Otherworldly as possible options to get my out of a slump. I’ve read Sorcery and Small Magics and that is a fun and relatively quick read that’d be great for curing a slump, too. Great list!

  2. I almost put The Knight and the Moth on my list, so definitely a good option there! Bury Our Bones actually put me in a slump. 🙁 I’m so sad about it because I love Schwab.

  3. That’s a nice twist on this week’s theme. I definitely think that Sorcery and Small Magics would bring any fantasy lover out of a reading slump.
