Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday. This meme was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.
This week’s theme is Books Guaranteed to Put an End to Your Book Slump. I’ve decided to twist the theme a little this week and share the books on my TBR that I’d most likely reach for to pull myself out of a slump. The covers link to the Goodreads page of each book in case something catches your eye!

Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V. E. Schwab, The Two Lies of Faven Sythe by Megan E. O’Keefe, The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig, Sorcery and Small Magics by Maiga Doocy, These Violent Delights by Micah Nemerever

The Brightness Outside Us by Eliot Schrefer, It Takes Two to Tumble by Cat Sebastian, Otherworldly by F. T. Lukens, Masters of Death by Olivie Blake, They Hate Each Other by Amanda Woody
There you have it! Ten books on my TBR that I hope could end a reading slump. Have you read any of these? Let me know your thoughts down in the comments!
Ooh, nice twist to the prompt! I think I would reach for They Hate Each Other, The Knight and the Moth, and Otherworldly as possible options to get my out of a slump. I’ve read Sorcery and Small Magics and that is a fun and relatively quick read that’d be great for curing a slump, too. Great list!
I want to read all four of them so bad. They Hate Each Other has been on my TBR for years. lol.
The Brightness Between us looks interesting.
I finished Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil over the weekend and I’m not sure what to think of it yet.

I almost put The Knight and the Moth on my list, so definitely a good option there! Bury Our Bones actually put me in a slump. 🙁 I’m so sad about it because I love Schwab.
Oh no! That’s not good. Schwab’s books are almost guaranteed wins for me. Now I’m really curious to see how it goes.
Yeah, I thought it was just me.. but I’ve been seeing more similar thoughts. I really hope it works better for you!!
That’s a nice twist on this week’s theme. I definitely think that Sorcery and Small Magics would bring any fantasy lover out of a reading slump.
Thanks! I’ve been wanting to read that one for a while. One day… lol.
Yes the ‘guarantee’ part is a little hard to predict isn’t it, but we all have our preferences.
Thanks for these, they are all new to me.

Yeah. I was wary of guaranteeing anything. lol. So, I decided to switch it up a bit and just pick some stuff that I hope could get me out of a slump.
I’ll be reading Schwab’s book soon and I can’t wait to try it!
I hope we both love it!
I haven’t heard of most of these, but I’m sure they’re good ones for pulling fantasy lovers out of a reading slump!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

I hope we both enjoy the V. E. Schwab book!
Me too! 🙂
