Hello, everyone! It’s Wednesday! That means it is time for another WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words. I’ll be answering the following questions:

Books I HAD to Have Immediately but Still Haven’t Read – Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Set in a School

Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday. This meme was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.

This week’s theme is Books I HAD to Have Immediately but Still Haven’t Read. I feel attacked by this topic. 🤣 I have over 1000 unread books in my home. So, narrowing this list down to 10 was a Herculean effort. These are all books that I went to the story to pick up on release day or pre-ordered because I just knew I’d be picking them up immediately. How wrong I turned out to be. lol. Seriously, though… I do need to make some progress on my backlog due to lack of space, and this list actually seems like a pretty good place to start. Without further ado, here are the books I chose (covers link to Goodreads):

Mid-Year Freakout Tag (2026)

I’ve done this mid-year freakout tag every year that I’ve been blogging, and I always enjoy it. I’m still not quite sure where it originated, but I’ve seen it all over on a bunch of blogs. If you know where it came from, feel free to tag/link them in the comments. I’ve already finished 73 books this year. So, I’ve got plenty of great options to choose from for this tag. Let’s get started. 🙂

This week’s theme is Books I Want to Read by New to Me Authors. This topic was super easy for me because I’ve got shelves full of books I want to read, many of them by authors I’ve never read before. lol. These ten stood out to me as I was perusing potential picks because they were all books I was stoked to buy but still haven’t read… Without further ado, here are the books I chose (covers link to Goodreads):

This week’s theme is My Favorite Books by My Favorite Authors. It’s been a while since I’ve participated in this meme, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to do this topic. I really had to think about this one. These are ten of some of my favorite and most read authors, and for many of them, I’d never really thought about what book by them I’d enjoyed the most. So, this was fun. Without further ado, here are the books I chose:
