2024 Releases I Was Excited to Read but Still Haven’t Gotten To – Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Set in a School

Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday. This meme was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.

This week’s theme is 2024 releases I was excited to read but still haven’t gotten to. This was a fun topic despite it causing a bit of shame at seeing all the books I didn’t get to last year. lol. I perused all of my anticipated releases lists from January to July to find my choices for this week. I’d love to read some of these soon, but I’ve learned not to say I’ll prioritize stuff. If I do, that’s usually the books it takes me years to read. All covers link to Goodreads in case something catches your eye. 🙂

Top Ten Tuesday – Books with Destination Titles

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Set in a School

Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.

This week’s theme is ten books with Destination Titles (titles with name of places in them. These places can be real or fiction!) (this was a topic Rachel @ Sunny Side came up with for a freebie week last year and has let me steal it!). I had to choose titles with fictional places in them because I couldn’t find very many real place names in the titles of books I’ve read. Even the fictional ones were a struggle. lol. The titles link to my reviews, if available. The covers link to Goodreads in case any of them catch your eye!

The first five books are ones I’ve read this year, and I think they fit the spooky season vibe. The other five books are on my TBR. I probably won’t get to them before Halloween, but who says spooky season has to end on October 31st? 😊The titles link to my reviews, if available. Top Ten Tuesday – Books I LOVED with Fewer Than 2000 Ratings on Goodreads

This week’s theme is a throwback freebie. So, I chose an old one from 2019 that seemed fun, Top Ten Books I LOVED with Fewer Than 2000 Ratings on Goodreads. I often read stuff that isn’t super mainstream, including quite a few indie titles. It made this an interesting topic to consider. I had fun going through my past favorites to see how many ratings they had acquired. Some surprised me by having so many and others by having so few. You can find 10 of my faves with the fewest ratings down below. Hopefully, I can inspire someone to pick one of them up. The titles link to my reviews, if available. The covers link to Goodreads in case any of them catch your eye!

A few of them are ARCs, but most of them are books from my shelves that I need to read. I also took a little time to look back at my Spring 2024 to-read list. I did pretty good and managed to read seven of the ten books I wanted to read in spring. I hope I’m able to do so well during the summer, too! The covers link to Goodreads in case any of them catch your eye!
