Top Ten Tuesday – Bookish Wishes

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Set in a School

Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.

This week’s theme is Top Ten Bookish Wishes. I do keep an Amazon wish list of books I’d like to buy, but it mostly includes books I want to get on Kindle. Most of them are also indie books. Since that particular wish list already existed, I decided to focus on those books this week, specifically ones that are super gay. This is Pride month after all. 🙂 The covers link to Goodreads in case any of them catch your eye!

This week’s theme is Top Ten Books I Had VERY Strong Emotions About. While preparing this list, I’ve definitely come to realize that I enjoy torturing myself with the books I read. lol. Most of these stories caused a lot of strong difficult emotions, like intense sadness, anger, or anxiety. Maybe I need to focus on comedy for a while. I’ve included emojis down below with the book titles to indicate the range of emotions I felt while reading each book. The covers link to Goodreads in case any of them catch your eye!

This week’s theme is Top Ten Books I Was Super Excited to Get My Hands on but Still Haven’t Read. This list could be so much longer than ten. lol. I have so many books that I’m dying to read. It often leads to decision paralysis, which means I ultimately pick up even more books because getting something new is the only way to break through being stuck on what to get from my shelves. Without further ado, here are ten books that I rushed to add to my shelves only to have them languish there indefinitely. The covers link to Goodreads in case any of them catch your eye!

This week’s theme is Top Ten Unread Books on My Shelves I Want to Read Soon. This topic was easy. lol. I have so many books on my shelves that I need to read. I’m always chasing after the new best things, which means many books get pushed off for months and years even though I really want to read them. I got back into reading as a hobby a little over three years ago, and many of these books go back to that time period. I hope to read them all soon(ish), but there are so many great books coming out this year, too. So, we’ll see what happens… The length of time the book has been on my shelves is in parentheses next to the title/author, and the covers link to Goodreads in case any of them catch your eye!

Top Ten Tuesday – Books I Acquired in March 2024

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Set in a School

Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.

This week’s theme is a freebie! So, I’ve chosen to highlight my Top Ten Books I Acquired in March 2024. I usually do a book haul post each month with everything I’ve added to my shelves, but I haven’t kept up with all my purchases… So, I’m just going to use this week’s freebie to highlight some of my favorite March acquisitions instead of rummaging through all my receipts. Half of these are actually ARCs, too. March was a REALLY great month for ARC acquisitions. There’s just so many great new books coming our way soon. Top Ten Tuesday – Books on My Spring 2024 TBR

This week’s theme is Top Ten Books on My Spring 2024 TBR. I made a goal to not really do TBRs this year because I wanted more flexibility to mood read. I also still haven’t finished the winter TBR I set back in December. Although, six out of ten books isn’t too bad. Right? So, this is more of a possibility pile than an actual TBR. Some of these are ARCs I need to read and others are books that have been on my shelves for far too long. The covers link to Goodreads in case any of them catch your eye!

Top Ten Tuesday – Books with Flowers on the Cover

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Set in a School

Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.

This week’s theme is “Covers/Titles with Things Found in Nature,” and I’ve chosen to narrow it down a bit to my Top Ten Books with Flowers on the Cover. I was surprised by how difficult I found this topic. I expected way more books I’ve read to have flowers in the cover art. I’m not sure if I just missed them or if my faves don’t usually use flowers. I was able to scrounge up 10 books, though, and they are all stories I enjoyed. The covers link to Goodreads in case any of them catch your eye!

Top Ten Tuesday – Books to Read When Time Is Short

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Set in a School

Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.

This week’s theme is Top Ten Quick Reads/Books to Read When Time is Short. I don’t read a ton of novellas. So, I was curious to see if I could come up with ten books for this topic. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I could, as well as the variety of the choices. There is fantasy, ghost stories, science fiction, romance, and more. I will admit that I cheated a bit on the last one. It surpasses the 150-page maximum for this topic by two pages, but I love the book so much I had to include it. All covers link to Goodreads in case something catches your eye. 🙂

This week’s theme is New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2023. I read so many new authors in 2023, which isn’t surprising since I read more books than ever last year. I’ve already come to love many of the authors, and these ten are at the top of that list. I hope to read more books by all of these authors in 2024. I’ve included both the authors and the book that made me fall in love with their writing. All covers link to Goodreads in case something catches your eye. 🙂
