Hello, everyone! I can’t believe the first month of this year is already over, but at the same time, it seems like it lasted forever. I’ve spent most of the month in isolation because the latest wave of COVID has been wreaking havoc in my area. I’ve been lucky enough to avoid getting sick so far, and I’m trying my best to keep it that way. It has been a relatively uneventful month. I’ve done a lot of blogging and reading, which has helped me stay at least sort of sane. 🙂 I didn’t quite reach all of my goals when it comes to reading, but I came pretty close.
January 2022 TBR Results
So, did I finish the TBR that I set for January? Yes and no. I read my goal of 11 total books. However, some of the books from the initial list got swapped out due to new NetGalley approvals and blog tour sign ups. Unfortunately, that means I didn’t get to ACOTAR or Here’s to Us. I think I’m gonna push ACOTAR off until I get more of my ARCs finished, but I’m hoping to get to Here’s to Us in February.

Progress On My 2022 Reading Goals
Goodreads Challenge
So far, I’m ahead on my goal of 100 books for the year. I read 12 books in January, which is an excellent start to the year.

NetGalley Progress
I’d like to end the year with at least 50 reviews completed for NetGalley and a ratio of at least 80%. I’ve made some progress on this goal in January. I completed 3 reviews for NetGalley this month, which brings my overall total up to 29. My ratio has been hovering right around 60%, though, because I keep getting approved for new stuff. Although, I guess that’s a good problem to have…
Read More Nonfiction
I haven’t made any progress on this yet, but I still plan to start reading A Tour of French History soon.
Collect Some Badges
I’ve collected five badges so far, Self-Published, Epic Fantasy, Undead, Bad Bitch, and Fewer Than 25 Goodreads Ratings. You can see everything I’ve gotten so far in the image below.

Read More Comics
I’ve set the goal of reading all the comics I buy during the week I buy them. I can’t believe it, but I actually pulled this off for the whole month. It has been great so far and required me to read many back issues as well to catch up on some books. In total, I read 76 comic issues in the past month, which I’m really happy about.
#BeatTheBacklog
I’m trying to focus on having a majority of the books I read this year be books I bought, borrowed, or received prior to January 1, 2022. I’m still doing good so far. Half of the books I read this month were published prior to 2022, and I bought/received all but three of the books I read this month prior to January 1.
Finish Some Series
I plan to finish or catch up on the following 5 series by the end of this year:
· The Broken Earth by N.K. Jemisin
· Arthurian Saga by Mary Stewart
· The Extraordinaries by TJ Klune
· Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling
· A shit ton of different Shadowhunters books by Cassandra Clare
I finished book seven of Harry Potter! I also read The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemision. So, progress on two of the five series was made!

Final Thoughts
Looking back on my TBR for January, I met almost all of my goals. I also made progress on most of my bookish goals for the year. Even more exciting, January was the best month ever for my blog with the most likes, views, and comments in a single month yet. Thank you to everyone who has visited, liked, and/or commented on a post. I hope you all have a great February!
