Books with the Word “Dark” in the Title – Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Set in a School

Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday. This meme was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.

This week’s theme is Books with the Word “Dark” in the Title. I chose this word for a couple of reasons. First, it was the only word I searched that had ten books I’d actually read and liked. lol. Second, the mix of books with the word dark in the title was more diverse than I expected. My choices come from such a wide range of genres, including fantasy, middle grade, science fiction, nonfiction, literary, and Star Wars books. The titles link to my review, if available, and the covers link to the Goodreads page of each book in case you want to learn more about them!

Dark Disciple by Christie Golden, Swimming in the Dark by Tomasz Jedrowski, The Dark Is Rising by Susan Cooper, One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig, The Dark Queens by Shelley Puhak

Dark Water Daughter by H.M. Long, The Fractured Dark by Megan E. O’Keefe, Into the Dark by Claudia Gray, Dark Moon, Shallow Sea by David R. Slayton, A Dark and Drowning Tide by Allison Saft

There you have it! Ten Books with the Word “Dark” in the Title. Have you read any of my picks? Let me know down in the comments!

  1. Ooh this is a good choice. I’m pretty sure I have lots of “dark” books too, but I went with a different word😁
