Most Anticipated June 2025 Book Releases

December 2023 Book Releases - Header

It is time again to look forward to another month of book releases. There are SO MANY great June 2025 book releases. I had a lot of trouble narrowing this list down, which is why it is so long. June 3 releases alone could probably give me enough books to last for months of reading. lol. It is all a bit overwhelming. If you missed out on seeing the May books that I was excited to pick up, you can also find my most anticipated May 2025 releases here. Without further ado, here are 20 of my most anticipated June 2025 book releases (covers link to Goodreads):

Birthstone Book Covers – May 2025

Hello, everyone! It has been a few months since I participated in the Birthstone Book Covers tag/meme. I always have fun searching for the books, but I’m pretty bad about forgetting to do it… However, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to show off some books I enjoyed with emerald/green covers. 🙂

The Rules

Here are the rules of this meme/tag:

  • Mention the creator (Leslie @ Books Are The New Black) and link back to me so I can see your post!
  • Pick 5+ book covers that match the current month’s Birthstone.
  • HAVE FUN!
  • Nominate people if you want!

The Books

Amari and the Despicable Wonders by B.B. Alston, You’re the Problem, It’s You by Emma R. Alban, Deep Is the Fen by Lili Wilkinson, The Hexologists by Josiah Bancroft, The Magician’s Daughter by H.G. Parry

Well. That’s it! The Birthstone Book Covers for May 2025. Green is my favorite color, and I always love book covers that incorporate it into their design. Have you read any of these books? Let me know your thoughts down in the comments!

Books with Memorable Animal Companions – Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Set in a School

Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday. This meme was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.

This week’s theme is Books with Memorable Animal Companions. This was such a timely topic for me because I just had a wonderful visit to the zoo over the weekend. They even had a red panda, which is my favorite animal. It was SO CUTE!! Obviously, I love real life animals, but fictional ones are awesome, too. Animal companions, especially magic ones, are so much fun to read about. Here are ten books with some of the most memorable animal companions I’ve ever read. The titles link to my review, if available, and the covers link to the Goodreads page of each book in case you want to learn more about them!

Hello, everyone! Today I’m reviewing Tears of the Nameless by George Mann, the penultimate YA installment of the Star Wars: The High Republic series. I’ve been wanting to pick this one up for a while and finally got around to it. I’m trying to catch up on all the stuff I’ve missed before the series ends next month. That’s looking unlikely at this point, but I’m going to give it my best shot. Read on to see if I enjoyed this YA outing!

Monthly Wrap-Up: April 2025

monthly wrap-up

Welcome to my monthly wrap-up for April 2025! I’m a bit late again this month. I just really have not had any motivation to do these monthly wrap-up posts this year. They’ve honestly begun to feel like a bit of a chore, but I do feel accomplished when I finally finish them. So, here it is. lol.

April was a pretty great month. I spent so much time outdoors and got half of my garden planted. The potatoes, onions, lettuce, and carrots were all growing by the time the month ended. I also picked up a hanging basket of strawberries, which is doing really well, and a couple of blueberry bushes that I planted in pots. Fingers crossed we get a decent harvest of something. 🙂 Even if we don’t, I’ve still had a lot of fun working outside and watching everything grow. I also used my zero-turn mower for the first time. It took some getting used to, but I didn’t demolish anything while trying to drive it. So, I consider it a success.

On the blogging front, I managed to be fairly consistent with posting new stuff. I wrote some reviews and participated in some weekly memes. I even took the time to do some tags. My engagement with others was still pretty low, though. I just haven’t been feeling like spending a bunch of time on social media, but I do miss seeing what everyone else has been up to. Hopefully, I can be more active in May (spoiler alert: I’m not. 🤣).
