Monthly TBR – April 2023 (Magical Readathon)

I am SO excited. This month I get to participate in another of my favorite readathons, Magical Readathon. I’ve spent a lot of time developing my character for this readathon, and I’m looking forward to attending another term at Orilium with him. For more information on my character, Padwin, you can visit my character introduction post. In short, he is attending the academy to learn how to be a Dream Walker and originally hails from a underground kingdom filled with libraries. He doesn’t really like open spaces and prefers books to people while also longing to understand them (kind of like me. lol). He must successfully pass seven classes to complete this term. Each of them is associated with a particular prompt. Here are the books I’ve chosen:

Top 5 Tuesday – Top 5 books with the 5 W’s in the title

Hello everyone! Today’s prompt is top 5 books with the 5 W’s in the title. Who? What? When? Where? Why? Oh my! lol. This was a fun one, but it was also a bit challenging. For most of the W’s I only had one option, but I like all of the books. So, it worked out. 🙂 It’s also a coincidence that these books are all queer AF. I guess it shouldn’t be that much of a surprise, though, considering how much queer fiction I read. The covers all link to the book’s Goodreads page, and I’ve included the official covers and synopsis when available. Top 5 Tuesday was created by Shanah @ Bionic Book Worm, and is now being hosted at Meeghan Reads!

Most Anticipated April 2023 Book Releases

March has flown by way too fast! I still haven’t read all of my most anticipated releases from this month yet, and it is already time to look forward to books releasing in April. Next month is *slightly* lighter than this one, but there’s still plenty of great stuff being released. Get those pre-orders in now (or library holds if they’re already available) because some of these titles are sure to be super popular! Here’s a look at everything I’m excited about for April. Each of the covers should link to the book’s Goodreads page.

Top 5 Tuesday – Top 5 books that make spine poetry

This week’s topic was so freaking hard. I’m honestly not a huge fan of poetry. I don’t really enjoy reading it all that much, and composing it is something that feels daunting. So, I wasn’t looking forward to trying to create a poem out of book titles. lol. It was just as hard as I expected, but it was also a little fun too. You can find my best attempt below! 🙂 Top 5 Tuesday was created by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm, and it is now being hosted at Meeghan reads.

Manga Monday – On or Off Vols. 1 & 2 / March Manga Haul

It has been forever since I’ve done a Manga Monday post… mostly because I haven’t been reading any manga for a while. I stumbled upon used copies of a BL manga on Pango and couldn’t resist ordering the first two volumes. (Side note: Pango has become a damn addiction… I’ve ordered so much stuff, and I cannot seem to stop. Please send help before I’m buried alive under all the book mail.) My wife has been trying to get me to read BL manga forever, and now I see why. I devoured the two volumes in one day and immediately went in search of others. Let’s just say I now have enough to last a while, which you’ll see down below. lol. First things first, though, here’s what I thought of the first two volumes of On or Off by A1.
