Trope-ical Readathon TBR – March 2024

It is time for another round of Trope-ical Readathon. This is one of my favorite readathons, and I’ve participated in every round since August 2021. So, that makes this my sixth time taking part in this event, and I’m still so excited for it. I kind of wish it wasn’t a leap year so that the readathon would have started today. 🙂

I’ve decided to join Team Science Fiction again because there are books on my TBR that fit the team challenges. I’ve also been wanting to read Kindred by Octavia E. Butler, which is one of the team books. So, it seemed like the best team for me, yet again.

For the general prompts, I don’t plan to set a specific TBR. Instead, I’ll fill in the challenges as I go along throughout the month. I’ve created a very tentative possibility pile, though, and am hopeful that some of them will actually work for the prompts. lol. The general and team prompts are in the graphics below, and more information about this readathon can be found at Jen Jen Reviews. If you are interested in participating, you have until March 10th to sign up!

Top Ten Tuesday – Books with Flowers on the Cover

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Set in a School

Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.

This week’s theme is “Covers/Titles with Things Found in Nature,” and I’ve chosen to narrow it down a bit to my Top Ten Books with Flowers on the Cover. I was surprised by how difficult I found this topic. I expected way more books I’ve read to have flowers in the cover art. I’m not sure if I just missed them or if my faves don’t usually use flowers. I was able to scrounge up 10 books, though, and they are all stories I enjoyed. The covers link to Goodreads in case any of them catch your eye!

Most Anticipated March 2024 Book Releases

December 2023 Book Releases - Header

It is almost the end of the month, which means it is time to look forward to the upcoming March 2024 book releases. March seems to be a lighter month than the last couple of months, at least for books that I’ve been wanting to get my hands on. My wallet and shelves are surely thankful for the change, especially after all the books that came out in February. There are still some great releases coming in March, though, and here are 10 of the March 2024 book releases I’m looking forward to the most:

Top Ten Tuesday – Bookish Superpowers I Wish I Had

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Set in a School

Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.

This week’s theme is Top Ten Bookish Superpowers I Wish I Had. I almost skipped this week because I wasn’t really feeling this topic, but I had a lot of fun with it once I sat down to think about it. There are so many book-related superpowers that could make my life much easier and help me tackle the never-ending TBR. Here are ten that I’d love to have:
