Hello, everyone! I can’t believe the first month of this year is already over, but at the same time, it seems like it lasted forever. I’ve spent most of the month in isolation because the latest wave of COVID has been wreaking havoc in my area. I’ve been lucky enough to avoid getting sick so far, and I’m trying my best to keep it that way. It has been a relatively uneventful month. I’ve done a lot of blogging and reading, which has helped me stay at least sort of sane. 🙂 I didn’t quite reach all of my goals when it comes to reading, but I came pretty close.

Hello, everyone! It is the start of another month, which means it is time again to plan out what I want to read. I’m not participating in any readathons again this month. So, I’m mostly picking these books based on what ARCs need to be reviewed and what books I’m in the mood to read.
In total, I want to read 12 books in February 2022 despite this being a shorter month. I have a ton of ARCs to get through, and one of my library holds came in way earlier than I expected. So, rather than take anything off the list, I’m just gonna try to power through it all. We’ll see how it goes. I’m also going to be reading The Obelisk Gate by N. K. Jemisin along with other members of The Oasis Discord channel, which I’m excited about because I’ve wanted to finish this trilogy for the last five years. I’m finally moving on to book two!

Hello everyone! Welcome back for another Top 5 Tuesday! The prompt for today is the top 5 books that I didn’t get to in 2021. First of all, this topic feels like a personal attack. lol. Just kidding (kind of). There were so many books I wanted to get to in 2021 that I just did not have the time for. Second, I don’t need this much negativity so close to my birthday, Meeghan, but it seems like my birthday month harbors all of the attack topics. Believe it or not, it has actually been a pretty slow month for book buying. Of the books below, I only bought about one third of them. The rest of them are ARCs, which is a different problem of its own. lol. Unfortunately, I’ve run out of shelf space again, which means I need to read more of my physical books and unhaul some that weren’t my favorite. It will be a while before I get to that task, though, because I’ve got to get through a ton of ARCs first, which isn’t necessarily a bad problem to have. It just means I’ll have to cool it on buying books for a while, and we all know I usually fail at that. So, if at any point you don’t hear from me for a while, assume I’ve died from being crushed by a falling stack of unshelved books. 🙂
