Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.
This week’s theme is Books Set in X, and I’ve chosen to focus on books set in a school. I’ve come up with quite an eclectic mix of fantasy, dark academia, YA rom-com, and middle grade adventures. I’m a huge fan of a school setting, and this list barely scratches the surface of my favorites. 🙂 Do you enjoy books set in a school? What are some of your favorites? Let me know down in the comments!

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, Curious Tides by Pascale Lacelle, The Secret History by Donna Tartt, Amari and the Night Brothers by B. B. Alston, Academy Arcanist by Shami Stovall

The Will of the Many by James Islington, Blaine for the Win by Robbie Couch, Three Meant to Be by MN Bennet, A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik, Babel by R.F. Kuang
School settings are so popular!
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
It’s one of my favorite things to read. 🙂
From your list, I’ve read Fourth Wing, Amari and Babel. Unfortunately I had to DNF A Deadly Education.

I’ve read Babel, Amari, and Fourth Wing. Loved them all. I should read a few more on this list because I love books set in a school setting!
Those definitely seem to be the most popular ones from this list. I hope you enjoy any others you decide to pick up. School settings are just so much fun, especially since I don’t have to do the homework. Lol.
It’s kind of ironic that I love school settings when I really hated school. I floated through college and ended up doing so well. I can’t imagine if I would have actually applied myself. haha
lol. I loved school and even went so far as to attempt two doctorates. I didn’t finish either due to a myriad of circumstances, but I enjoyed my time in academia. Books set in school help me scratch that itch and avoid going back to school again. 🙂
Woah! That’s actually cool to even attempt that. I could never. lol. Some of us love it and some of us don’t. My husband loved school because he loves learning. lol
Yes, I do enjoy school settings. There’s so much potential for drama, romance, mystery, humor, and everything else. They’re interesting microcosms for sure!
Happy TTT!

Schools really do make such great settings for all different types of stories! 🙂
I keep seeing Curious Tides and I definitely want to pick it up at some point!
I loved it! It was a bit slow at times, but the mysteries and dark academia vibes made up for it. I hope you like it, too. 🙂
