Books I’d Like to Re-read – Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday - Books Set in a School

Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday. This meme was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.

This week’s theme is Books I’d Like to Re-read. I don’t do nearly as much re-reading as I’d like. The list I came up with for this week is a mix of favorites I would love to revisit and series starters I need to read again. For example, I read the first three books of A Chorus of Dragons, including The Ruin of Kings mentioned below. Unfortunately, it’s been so long that I need to read them all again to continue the series. lol. Those types of picks are marked with NTC, or ‘need to continue,’ below. The covers link to the Goodreads page of each book in case something catches your eye!

To Shape a Dragon’s Breath by Moniquill Blackgoose (NTC), Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo (NTC), A Marvellous Light by Freya Marske, Jade City by Fonda Lee, The Ruin of Kings by Jenn Lyons (NTC)

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke, The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller, Ocean’s Echo by Everina Maxwell, The Last Magician by Lisa Maxwell (NTC), The Book That Wouldn’t Burn by Mark Lawrence (NTC)

There you have it! Ten books I’d like to re-read. Do we have any books in common? Let me know down in the comments!

  1. I have the whole Ruin of Kings series and haven’t read it. lol! The Book that Wouldn’t Burn is also one I need to get to! I hope you find some time to re-read these. Especially the ones you need to continue a series.

    • Thanks! I enjoyed the first three books in Ruin of Kings and The Book That Wouldn’t Burn. So, I’m bummed that I haven’t been able to finish the series yet. I’ll get to them one day, hopefully after re-reading so that I’m not totally lost.

  2. Ooh, I was just thinking a few weeks back that it’d be amazing to re-read Jade City cos it’s been so long since I revisited and you know how much I love those books. đź’ś I need to finish The Book That Wouldn’t Burn since I put it down last year when I realised I just wasn’t in the right mood, lol. I hope you love all these books on re-read and make a good dent in that NTC list!
