I’m a few days late with this post because I’ve been traveling. I’ve finally made it home and had a chance to sit down and think about what I want to read this month. Without further ado, let’s dive into my March 2026 hopefuls and a brief recap of my reading from last month!
Recap of Last Month
I did pretty great on sticking to my priority reads for February! I finished reading five out of the six of them, which I consider an absolute win after how abysmally I was doing with TBRs at the end of last year. As a reminder, here were my priority reads for last month, along with my rating for the ones I finished:
- Common Goal by Rachel Reid (4ā)
- Strange Animals by Jarod K. Anderson (4.5ā)
- Some Desperate Glory by Emily Tesh (4.5ā)
- Sister Svangerd and the Not Quite Dead (3.75ā)
- The Red Winter by Cameron Sullivan (4.5ā)
- All We Have Is Time by Amy Tordoff (NOT READ)

I also finished quite a few other books in February for a total of 14 books, 4624 pages, and an average rating of 4.05 stars. Notably, it was yet another very gay month for me, and fantasy climbed back into one of the top genre spots. Here’s a quick look at everything I read along with some stats from StoryGraph:

February 2026 Priority Hopefuls

I’m sticking with six books again for the priority reads in March. Three of them are March ARCs, No Man’s Land by Richard K. Morgan, The Witch Without Memory by Maithree Wijesekara, & The Fox and the Devil by Kiersten White. I’ve also included one overdue ARC from January, To Ride a Rising Storm by Moniquill Blackgoose. Finally, I’m rounding out my priority reads with some picks from my Series Reading Challenge, Three Shattered Souls by Mai Corland and Role Model by Rachel Reid.
Other March 2026 Hopefuls
I didn’t get to any of my other hopefuls last month. So, I’ve upgraded one of them to a priority read and am going to leave the others here. lol. I am however, going to add a second Cat Sebastian book because I want to catch up on her recent releases. With that in mind, here are some other March hopefuls:

Star Shipped by Cat Sebastian, After Hours at Dooryard Books by Cat Sebastian, Apparently, Sir Cameron Needs to Die by Greer Stothers, The Poet Empress by Shen Tao
Well. Those are my March 2026 hopefuls. I’d love to read everything listed on this page, but that is unlikely. If I make it through six of them, I’ll consider March to be a success! Do we have any hopefuls in common this month? Happy reading!
The Fox and the Devil is on my list for this month as well! Hope we both enjoy it.
Awesome! Hopefully we’ll love it. š
I’m in the middle of The Fox and the Devil and it’s been interesting. I’m hoping to start the Reid books this month. The Poet Empress is soooo good!
I’ve seen nothing but great things about The Poet Empress, and I’m really looking forward to it. I still need to get to The Fox and the Devil. Hopefully, we both end up liking it!
Oh, 4 stars for VANISHED BIRDS! I read this during the pandemic when I was getting back into reading. I remembering liking the first part, but then it just went sideways for me when we got way to the future. Was it an open ending? If so that might’ve been another reason I didn’t rate it as highly as you.
The first part was my favorite part of the book, too. I wish the boy’s powers would have been explained a little more, and the pacing was a bit wonky at times. The ending was also a bit open, and I would’ve liked an epilogue of some sort. Overall, though, I liked the story.
