Top 5 Books I Want to Re-Read in 2025 (Top 5 Tuesday)

Hello everyone! I decided to participate in Top 5 Tuesday this week because it was a topic I’ve enjoyed doing in the past. Today’s prompt is top 5 books I want to re-read in 2025. I’ll be honest. It is super likely that I won’t get to any of these this year. It’s nice to dream, though. lol. The covers all link to the book’s Goodreads page, and I’ve included the official covers and synopsis when available. Top 5 Tuesday was created by Shanah @ Bionic Book Worm, and is now being hosted at Meeghan Reads!

Good evening, everyone! I’m a bit late in putting together today’s post, but I’m very excited to be participating in the Birthstone Book Covers meme this month. I decided to jump on board because it is my birthday month, and it always looks like such a fun thing to participate in. Finding covers with purple/amethyst was definitely more of a challenge than I expected, but I didn’t give up because I knew I needed to represent for all of my fellow people with February birthdays. 🙂
The Rules
Here are the rules of this meme/tag:
- Mention the creator (Leslie @ Books Are The New Black ) and link back to me so I can see your post!
- Pick 5+ book covers that match the current month’s Birthstone.
- HAVE FUN!
- Nominate people if you want!
The Books
I decided to pick books from my TBR for this month’s choices. Without further ado, here they are:

Dust & Lightning by Rebecca Crunden, Bringer of Dust by J.M. Miro, The Magic Between by Stephanie Hoyt, The Splinter King by Mike Brooks, The Whispering Dark by Kelly Andrew
Well. That’s it! The Birthstone Book Covers for February 2025. Purple is such a pretty color and looks great on a book cover. Have you read any of these books? Let me know your thoughts down in the comments!

The Birthday Book Tag

Today is my birthday! So, I thought it would be fun to celebrate with an appropriately themed book tag. I first saw The Birthday Book Tag on Celeste’s blog a couple of years ago. It looked like a fun way to celebrate the occasion. Maybe I’ll make it an annual tradition moving forward. Only time will tell.
The Birthday Book Tag was created by Antonia at Always Books, and it provides birthday-related prompts to complete with a book recommendation that fulfills it. Without further ado, here we go!

Welcome to my monthly wrap-up for January 2025! January was truly a month of beginnings. My wife started her new job, and we both continued exploring our new home. The unpacking kept going slowly but surely, as well. I’ve been experiencing a real winter for the first time, and I like it for the most part. I’m definitely looking forward to spring, though. We’ve learned about some of the quirks of our house the hard way. lol. Yay for frozen pipes/vents, broken furnaces, and dead squirrels in the chimney. However, nothing too terrible or expensive has gone wrong. Hopefully, it stays that way.
The blog had a bit of a renaissance in January, as well. I posted way more than I have in a long time and views (total and per post) were up for the first time in almost a year. It’s amazing what a little consistency can accomplish. Now, let’s take a look at what I managed to read last month!
