Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.
This week’s theme is Atmospheric Books. I’ve interpreted this to mean books where the writing brings the setting to life in a vivid way that swallows you up while reading. The covers link to the book’s Goodreads page if you’d like to learn more about them!

Starling House by Alix E. Harrow, The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater, Thornhedge by T. Kingfisher, House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland, The City Beautiful by Aden Polydoros

A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik, One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig, Juniper & Thorn by Ava Reid, Age of Ash by Daniel Abraham, The Darkness Outside Us by Eliot Schrefer
The Raven Boys is a great choice today. I wish I would have thought of it myself.
I just finished the series and loved it. Stiefvater’s writing really brought the setting to life, almost as if it was another character.
Of course. The Raven Boys. I love that series. Why didn’t I think of it?
I just finished the series, and it was one of the first books I thought of for this topic. It’s such a great series!
I haven’t read any of these, but they certainly look atmospheric. ONE DARK WINDOW is one I want to read. It looks so good!
Happy TTT!

Yes for One Dark Window!
It was one of the first books I thought of for this topic.
