Hello, everyone! It’s Wednesday! That means it is time for another WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words. I’ll be answering the following questions:
Today I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday, which was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week there is a new theme/topic, and participants choose ten books that fit it.
This week’s theme is a throwback freebie. So, I chose an old one from 2019 that seemed fun, Top Ten Books I LOVED with Fewer Than 2000 Ratings on Goodreads. I often read stuff that isn’t super mainstream, including quite a few indie titles. It made this an interesting topic to consider. I had fun going through my past favorites to see how many ratings they had acquired. Some surprised me by having so many and others by having so few. You can find 10 of my faves with the fewest ratings down below. Hopefully, I can inspire someone to pick one of them up. The titles link to my reviews, if available. Summer is definitely here, and June has been an absolute scorcher. The heat here in Louisiana has been unbearable. Within seconds of stepping outside, I am drenched in sweat. So, I’ve been staying inside with my books and my pets with the AC and fans blasting. My rare ventures outside have been dominated by doctor’s appointments, CT scans, and bloodwork. Luckily, all of the tests have come back relatively normal, which means no new cancer. Yay for continued remission! Reading, doctor’s visits, and housework have dominated my June, along with anxiously waiting to see where my wife ends up getting a new job. Without further ado, here is my monthly wrap-up for June 2024!

I went a bit overboard in June, and my book haul definitely reflects my lack of restraint. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure that this post contains everything I bought or received. I lost track at some point in the month, but I think I managed to remember everything new. Maybe. It is definitely a good thing that I installed a bunch of new shelves last month. They are filling up fast…
