March 2025 Hopefuls (AKA My Trope-ical Readathon TBR)

It is that time of year again! The Trope-ical Readathon is here. 🙂 This is one of my favorite readathons, and I always look forward to participating. It is a team-based readathon where completing prompts based on common book tropes earns points for your team. I’ve chosen to join team Science Fiction this time around. For more information about the readathon (and to sign up), you can visit the announcement page over at Jen Jen Reviews. Registration is open until March 9th. Now, let’s take a look at the prompts.

Magical Readathon Fall 2024 Equinox

The start of September means it is time again for one of my favorite readathons, Magical Readathon. Classes at Orilium resume on September 1, and my character has the month to try to get good grades while also maybe going on some side quests. We’ll see how motivated he is… lol. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, you can find more information about the Magical Readathon Fall 2024 Equinox in this term’s announcement video. Now let’s jump into some character background and the books I hope to read to satisfy my course requirements this month.

Trope-ical Readathon TBR – March 2024

It is time for another round of Trope-ical Readathon. This is one of my favorite readathons, and I’ve participated in every round since August 2021. So, that makes this my sixth time taking part in this event, and I’m still so excited for it. I kind of wish it wasn’t a leap year so that the readathon would have started today. 🙂

I’ve decided to join Team Science Fiction again because there are books on my TBR that fit the team challenges. I’ve also been wanting to read Kindred by Octavia E. Butler, which is one of the team books. So, it seemed like the best team for me, yet again.

For the general prompts, I don’t plan to set a specific TBR. Instead, I’ll fill in the challenges as I go along throughout the month. I’ve created a very tentative possibility pile, though, and am hopeful that some of them will actually work for the prompts. lol. The general and team prompts are in the graphics below, and more information about this readathon can be found at Jen Jen Reviews. If you are interested in participating, you have until March 10th to sign up!

Monthly TBR – September 2023

A new month means it is time for a new TBR. I’m doing things a bit differently this time. I usually set a TBR of 8-10 books. However, I almost always read more than that number. So, I’ve decided to split things into a ‘need to read’ pile and a possibility pile for mood reading. I’m sure I’ll probably also read stuff that isn’t listed anywhere in this post, as well, but these are the books I’d definitely like to get to this month.

Monthly TBR – August 2023

August is always a really busy month, but it is one of my favorites. Why? Magical Readathon and Trope-ical Readathon both take place this month. These are my fave readathons, and I haven’t missed a round since I started blogging. So, I can’t start now. My plans for the month are AMBITIOUS, but I’m going in hoping for the best. 😁
